Saw this in a full Paisley Showcase this evening. There were a few walk outs after more than an hour . . . though one couple left with 20 minutes to go!
I must admit I was reasonably engaged by the 6 stories and coped fairly well until an hour before the end when I began to give up the will to live! :X I really wanted it to finish at that point. However, I did manage to stick with it and found the last half hour better as there was a conclusion to the stories. I did spot the link even without reading the book. (A friend had read the book and couldn't imagine how they could make a film of it. I'm the exact opposite . . . I can't imagine reading a book with all the detail and keeping it straight) I have to say the acting throughout was very good and the make-up and costumes were excellent.
Would I watch it again? Nope!
Am I glad I saw it? I think so . . . especially as I've had time to think about it!
Marks 6/10 . . . I think!?!

I need to watch his again, reason: too many things happening at the same time.

Did you read c_t's explanation? It will help put things into place for when you do watch again.

yes I did thanks :D I did manage to follow it, but not as much as I would have wanted to
btw I really would have appreciated some subtitles, Tom Hanks & Halle Berry were really hard to understand :undecided:
Vue Islington was completely full at 6:15

I've seen it twice now and still didn't get what they were saying! I found it irritating the second time I watched it.
I thought it would get easier the more I listened but it didn't.

now that we are on the not understanding what they said, (Im trying not to spoil anything here) there was one bit in a factory where a lady spoke in a different language and didn't have subtitles, that bit was supposed to be Spanish, and Im saying "supposed to" because Im a Spanish speaker and all I got from her was a couple of words that were mispronounce and the rest sounded just like an alien language, I so didnt get the point of that scene at all...

Beate wrote:So are we saying there were 6 characters with the same birthmark which meant they were reincarnations of each other? I noticed Jim Sturgess had it in the ship story, then I think Ben Whishaw as the composer, then Halle Berry in 1976 and the Korean girl. Who else?

I think people need all the help they can get! And some have read the books. I'd like to see this again but not tonight as I am dog tired from yesterday.
