I can tell you that in German (and probably Austrian) schools it's more the American English that pupils get familiar with, mostly because a lot of films that can be shown in class will be American, or pupils go on an exchange year to America etc. It is totally feasible that someone like Lauda would, when speaking English, have used the American version of this swear word.
I am pretty sure that Hemsworth as Hunt did use the British version.

Saw this last night at Westfield
I am a big formula 1 fan so excited to see it
The actors were all perfect for their roles
Loved every minute ! done brilliantly loved the engine shots with roaring ready to go

Good story too. Glad so many liked it. As coming out thought it might be boring for some.
I continually changed my mind who I wanted to win as well(I only knew who won championship not individual races )
Fab. 9/10
But to be honest they should have made film under 2 hours and probably would have been 10/10

Nice to see jean before.

Seen this last night, have to say i really enjoyed this film, and I'm not the biggest F1 fan but i found it really good, the performances from Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Bruhl were great both characters kept you engaged in thier rivalry but I also found the camerawork amazing as it really took you inside the car with the driver to give it that extra experience. Overall it was a great film and fully recommend it should you want to see it.

As expected, I loved this. Emotional rollercoaster despite knowing the final outcome. Easily in the Top 5 of the year... 9.5/10
Beate wrote:
I thought the film was a bit in favour towards James Hunt though which I didn't like as he was basically an arrogant playboy who in my mind only won the championship because of Niki Lauda's accident,

They were both arrogant in their own way (many F1 drivers are!), but I don't think the film was in any way biased towards either of them. Also, there are many IFs and BUTs in sport generally, there are always surprises and a win is never guaranteed, that's the beauty of it. The accident obviously played a big part in the championship standings but so did Ferrari's sneaky complaint about Hunt's car earlier in the season (even though Hunt's points for the win were reinstated later, they had to drastically change his car and Hunt failed to finished next two races as a result!) There's more on that in the documentary, the championship really could have gone either way. It certainly was a remarkable season in Formula 1.
I saw this last night at a very full Greenwich Odeon.
It was excellent. Although I'm not particularly into Formula 1, both this film and Senna brought it to life for me and made it an incredibly exhilarating & emotional experience, which watching it on tv has never done for me. The performances from both Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Bruhl were excellent. Even my niece & her friends (who only wanted to watch because Chris Hemsworth was in it ) really enjoyed it. Definitely one of the best films I've seen this year. I gave Senna 10/10 & I give this film 9.5/10.
