My free films thread is sending emails ok now but in the past week my London free films thread has unsubscribed itself twice

Central London and North London as far north as the Hampstead Everyman including Picturehouse Hackney/Notting Hill Gate - but not Wood Green and North Finchley as they are just a bit too far.

I do that religiously - and guess what - I subscribed again this morning to London free films thread and received the free films email but not the London one. The free films works fine but I just looked on the London one and have had to subscribe yet again....... I double checked that I was subscribed as I did this morning - so lets see if it unsubscribes me again........

I've stopped receiving notifications too. It still shows me as subscribed, though.
102 Different free films seen in 2010 plus 2 repeat viewings and a few tv show screenings... not too shabby. Thanks to everyone for their contributions here.

I'm having the same issue too!
I normally receive email alerts once a new post is on the free films board, but lately I'm not receiving anything at all!?

Yes I am also having the same issue. My subscriptions shows me as subscribed, but I didnt get any yesterday for the free films thread.

The most important thing is to remember how the forum coding requires that you read every subscribed post before it lets you get any more notifications. If you get an email but can't find the matching new topic or post in Free Films, it's worth looking for it elsewhere. For example today I got an email for a Banksy film, but it wasn't in Free Films. I looked on View New Posts (near the top right) and found it, moved to Film Discussion. If I hadn't found and read it I would've stopped receiving email alerts, which is a shame, but if you keep up you'll keep receiving email alerts. Sometimes, though, new posts such as duplicate codes are simply deleted - this doesn't affect your email alerts which should carry on as normal.
As a last resort, if you don't know where the post you need to read to continue receiving email alerts is, and preferably if you feel you've caught up with all the threads you want to read, you can click Mark Forums Read at the top of the board index. This will trick the board into thinking you've read everything including said notification post, and as long as you're still subscribed you should receive alerts again straight away.
This has never been a problem for me as, obviously, I keep up to date with as much as I can of the forum, but if you follow either of the tips above there shouldn't be an issue. For the majority of you, this is the solution (the rest might have problems with spam boxes but I can't help with that), so unless you've followed these steps and are still not receiving alerts I'd say it's rather pointless posting as if the board is broken.
