Directed by Nicholas Stoller

Starring: Jonah Hill, Russell Brand, Rose Byrne, Sean 'P.Diddy' Combs

Plot: Aaron Greenberg (Hill) gets things done. The ambitious 23-year-old has exaggerated his way into a dream job just in time for a career-making assignment. His mission: Fly to London and escort a rock god to L.A.s Greek Theatre for the first-stop on a $100-million tour. His warning: Turn your back on him at your own peril. British rocker Aldous Snow (Brand) is both a brilliant musician and walking sex. Weary of yes men and piles of money, the former front man is searching for the meaning of life. But that doesnt mean he cant have a few orgies while he finds it. When he learns his true love is in California, Aldous makes it his quest to win her backright before kick-starting his world domination.

As the countdown to the concert begins, one intern must navigate a minefield of London drug smuggles, New York City brawls and Vegas lap dances to deliver his charge safe and, sort of, sound. He may have to coax, lie to, enable and party with Aldous, but Aaron will get him to the Greek.

Thanks to Beate, I went to see this immediately after Toy Story 3 today, along with an audience of predominantly young women. I probably would not have noticed, if it had not been pointed out by an excited young man in the queue!

The film was shown in one of the smaller screens, and we were counted in but a section was portioned off for Universal and I do not think that staff took this into account when counting people in as quite a number of people had to be turned away.
Jonah Hill and Russell Brand came and introduced the film. Jonah left after the introduction - am not sure if Russell stayed as I could not see from where I was sitting. I don’t particularly like Russell Brand as a comedian but I did like him in Forgetting Sarah Marshall and he continues the role in this film.

I did the film very funny and found myself laughing out loud. A lot of the one liners were very amusing. I especially liked P Diddy and thought he was really good especially towards the end of the film when demonstrating a ‘mind f**k’.

The story was what I expected, but it was much funnier that I expected. It is not the sort of film that I would normally have chosen to go to see it again, but it will not be too much of a hardship to go again with my daughter on Tuesday!

It is not the best film that I have ever seen but by no means the worst. In fact, although Toy Story was very good, I did find it a very dark and not particularly a happy film. My mood was certainly lifted by GHTTG.

I also went to see this immediately after Toy Story 3. Again, more waiting as the film started one hour late. I was feeling out of place among so many young people.

As 5rannoch mentioned, Russell Brand and Jonah Hilm briefly introduced the film. I think Russell Brand actually sat down in one of the last rows to watch it.

The film was much funnier than I was expecting. I think the rock star persona suits Russell Brand very well. P Diddy was surprisingly funny. I was really surprised to see Lars Ulrich (Metallica's drummer) in the film. 8/10

I was pleasantly surprised by the film, I dont usually like Brand but he done well as did P Diddy, it was quite funny and didnt take itself to seriously. And yeah Brand did stay and watch, Noel Gallagher was also there as was David Walliams.

Just seen this at shaftersbury avenue. Met prettyxcool and saw hdaniel82 so good evening.
After Reading reviews on this website I was expecting a great film however was slightly disappointed! It was funny in parts but I felt there was too much swearing and it was way too crude!
Russell brand played himself so wasn't disappointed there.

Agree with tilly to much swearing and too crude but liked Russell Brand. Also thought his voice was quite good, with a good song he could do well.

Only a 6/10 for me

They always make you wait until the very last minute at Shaftesbury Avenue, but it was nice to meet tilly in the queue. Once in, lovely to see ejwrank and hdaniel82.

This was a very silly, silly, film, but it did make me laugh in some places and I actually liked it - mainly because of my fascination with Brand, and he had a good voice. 7/10

I have to agree after reading some reviews here I was expecting this to be very very funny. Whilst I thought it was quite funny, most of the audience didn't really laugh out loud. Its predictable but I enjoyed the story arc very much and the male bonding theme. I thought it was quite enjoyable. 7.5/10
