I was there at the Empire too. Awesome day (Kev, i thought Next 3 days was ALOT better than i thought it was going to be).

I thought Tron was awesome but a little generic once you strip away the candy coating. But thats all im saying until the embargo is lifted (Typing review now ready for copy and paste tomorrow)

I saw Tron today too. Looked fantastic, but I'm still not sold on 3D. What's the deal with the "embargo" anyway? Loads of films get screened prior to their premieres.

Watched it, hated it. Really really hated it, it was like The Matrix sequels' Zion elements, boring, plotless, poorly paced rambling, rather average CGI, except for JEFF BRIDGES' FACE OMG WTF?!?!?!
Michael Sheen was a ball of fun, saving about 5 minutes of this film, but my goodness, the other 120 minutes were just, well, awful.

TheyCallMeMrGlass wrote:Just seen this in 3d at the Empire and they said I must not say anything about it until 10pm tomorrow night. Something about an embargo. I wonder if anything will happen to me if just say original Tron fans will love this, in an awesome way? Maybe I should keep quiet?.
Come on FMUKers, its only Disney, don't be scared of the mouse.... how is it?

Very excited, mainly because of Jeff Bridges, after The Big Lebowski I'd watch him in just about anything.

I hope to see it tomorrow. If you do go, can you save me a seat, as I do not think that I will be able to get there much before the start.

Pretty sure this was in development with Bridges attached well before he got his Oscar.

Yeah, but I can't really think of many tentpole holiday films that he's anchored? Any come to mind?

That's Disney's call then, not Bridges'. A Tron sequel and his involvement in it was never going to have anything to do with the Academy Awards. Sure, it's a bonus for Disney, but it's nothing more than that. He wouldn't even have gotten more money from Mickey & Co as he surely signed on for this well before receiving his golden statuette. And let's be honest here, this movie isn't about a Jeff Bridges performance- it's about the special effects.
