Would like to see this - sadly I haven't been able to make it what with the snow playing havoc to our arrangements. Will have to use a Cineworld voucher instead, I think.

Hi guys, this was the first free preview I had seen, overall an enjoyable experience :)

The movie itself was good. Started very strong, the middle section dragged on a bit in my opinion, but once the main objective started it was good! Good acting and directing, although a little predictable.

Saw this tonight--Really enjoyed it--tension gradually built up and then maintained for a considerable time..Russell Crowe--excellent as were the supporting cast.

I am going to check out Anything for her. It's a difficult film to assess, I do like Paul Haggis and yes he does have a tendency to drag out his scenes like Clint Eastwood. It really depends if you are in the same mood and feelings or you're dying to tell the director to get on with it....It is a slow build and crescendos nicely to a climax. Funnily enough, I thought about the film Law Abiding Citizen too and I liked the fact this film for most parts weren't sensationalist. I think where it does fall down is the gaping plot holes and all the improbabilities. It was an enjoyable ride for me though 7/10

Bit surreal at WIQ tonight. We were there early, the first usher immediatley knew the screen number (astounding as they are usually useless), the second one too, we met milkchocmonkey, started waiting, decided to go in, were chucked out again for cleaning then let in again a few minutes later. Watched it fill up slowly, then four really noisy people turned up and sat next to us in the last row. I thought if they don't stop that soon I am going to blow a gasket!

Then suddenly someone came in and shouted that Catfish was not being shown tonight, only The Next Three Days and if people weren't here to see this they could choose any other film. We just looked at each other and shrugged - I hadn't even realised there was supposed to be a Catfish screening, I thought it was Picturehouses! OH got confused and I had to explain three times that everything was fine and we were going to see the film we had come to see!

:cheer: And then the four noisy people got up and left the screen! Result. I heard some people say "Let's go and see Harry Potter instead", but I was fine where I was. Some more people started to come in - Catfish rejects? Who knows.

The film - I couldn't help but constantly compare to the brilliant original, and while I was still gripped though knowing the ending, I thought it was quite slow in getting going, and Russell Crowe was not really believable as a regular school teacher suddenly doing irresponsible things (nice touch trying to explain it through Don Quixote though). Liam Neeson in his 5 minute role outacted him, I am afraid. Some scenes were different to the original and the scene with the cops and the button at the end was totally superfluous. Don't know why they felt they needed to add extra drama with racing to get the kid from the zoo either.

So it works better if you haven't seen the original and I have to agree with kevinknapman's review quite a bit, but I still enjoyed it, and when they pulled it off to escape in the car (I had waited for that scene and it was played out differently here but with the same end result), I had a huge grin on my face, boxed the OH in the side and nearly high-fived myself, LOL.

well...... what can I say DH, mum and dad were in for a night at the flix and me a night at home with son number 1 when I had a knock on the door at about 7pm. Apparently they didnt have the 'key' to unlock the film at the cinema, therefore sent everyone home with a free cinema ticket to see any other film. This is a new one on me, has anyone else heard of this? Very strange, so a cinema full of people never got to see the film at Sheffield Cineworld, very poor, I could imagine this would happen at Vue but Cineworld, how shameful!!! Anyways, enough said, I didnt get the evening to myself. C'est la vie. Looked like a good film too!!!

Saw this tonight at Cineworld Nottingham, having handed in our tickets we were asked for our email address which they wrote at the back of the ticket, I asked why they were taking the email address and was told that they were asked to do it – how strange. I couldn’t be bothered to challenge it as the film would have probably started before management showed its face.

Has anyone else ever been asked for their email address?

Anyway, the film, I thought the original one – “Anything For Her” was better and more realistic. Having said that I still enjoyed this one and despite knowing how it would end it still gripped me at times.

Saw this tonight at Edinburgh thanks to JMP o/

Cinema was quite empty to begin with but ended up very busy.

What can I say? loved it. Have not seen Anything for Her so did not know the way the film was going to pan out. Another strong performance from Russell Crowe, liked the cameo with Liam Neeson - does he ever put a foot wrong?

Was sorry when the film ended and had to go home

9/10 from two very happy cinema goers in Edinburgh
