That meal sounds divine asamaic and I really have to get myself eating fish as so good for us.

Menu of the day:
Mango smoothie- I made it with 200mls semi skimmed milk, 100gm of https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j ... BXiqpRMcfw the other half of my mango, a tablespoon of honey and a lot of ice (280 calories) You can lower the calories without the honey dramatically (by 60 calories) and next time I probably wouldn't use quite so much.
Lunch is the same as yesterday as I still have a butterbean and sweet potato burger and salad plus I've made more jelly http://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/ ... =252469218 :D I b*ght it when it was on offer for 50p and it makes 8 portions which are 9 calories each but its my guilty pleasure so have double portions. (280 calories - majority are in the bread roll)
Meatballs in tomato sauce with taglietelle I use just 1 swirl or whatever you call it of tagliatelle so calories from that are 135.
I'm using the rest of the meatballs from the other day lightly frying them in olive oil then just adding onions, garlic and a ton of plum tomatoes and possibly a tin if too thick and lots of fresh basil. (350 calories)

I will be going for a walk today. I prefer the walking to the exercise DVD but it's the DVD that tones me up so really need to start doing it again.

What is everyone else up to today? Keep posting everyone o/

Good Morning, Everyone!

Loving this healthy food regime that you've really got into recently, Diane. Your recipes are inspirational.

Up North! we call them "nests".

What is it that you don't like about fish, Diane? Is it the taste, the look of it (eyes, head, tail, fins etc), that it still looks like the animal, or what?

I absolutely love fish, and I am eating loads of salmon steaks at the moment. That recipe of asamaic's looks particularly scrummy. I hope you get your oven temperature sorted out.

Going to try and fit some additional gym classes and swimming in this week to supplement my 2 hour Monday and Wednesday sessions. I can see me becoming obsessional about this :wall:

Anyhow, the gym work seems to be doing some good....... I have lost 4 pounds this week so I'm absolutely delighted with that - and I'm actually under the next stone down (I haven't explained that very well, but I know Diane will know what I mean) ;) I have also noticed that my back is much improved, which is even more fantastic than the weight-loss.

Good Luck everyone with your weighdays. I've got my fingers crossed for you all :cross: :D

Wow Preston1990 that is absolutely amazing :cheer: :D

I have only lost 1lb but I know exactly what I have done so annoyed with myself but sort of backed in a corner. At work on Friday a colleague that I had helped out the day before arrived all happy with himself and had made me a white hot chocolate made with full fat milk, fresh cream and marshmallows that he had made for me to say thank you - What on earth could I do it would be really rude to say no thanks or not to drink it as he was sat in the same room as myself  Probably about 500 plus calories.
Then on Saturday I met my best friend, her husband and Mum at a garden centre to try and cheer them up as going through a stressful time but unbeknown to myself while I was busy looking at fairy lights for my garden my friend had wondered off and b*ght me a cornflake tart, her husband had gone off and b*ght me a raspberry milkshake (unhealthy) and her mum had got me a pink macaroon as a thank you. We have been friends for over 40 years so it's not unusual for us to swan off and look at different bits so had no idea that they were b*ying goodies but once again I couldn't just sit there and leave it. I didn't have to eat the macaroon as it was packaged up but did eat it last night watching Downton Abbey. In my defence I actually can't think of how on earth I could turn around and say no thanks as at the end of the day it was someone saying thank you. Then last night my neighbour arrived back from his holiday in Italy and as I had been sorting out his post and bins he had b*ght me a bottle of Chianti and some Italian chocolates but I can pace myself on them. :shifty:

This week apart from Wednesday when out for dinner with my friend I have no social commitments so can be good.

Menu of the day:
All bran
Mango smoothie (been and b*ght some frozen mango)
Omelette with 2 eggs, peppers, mushrooms and a side salad.

I am off work today an enforced lieu day as nowhere else to take it which is a tad annoying as I have 2 private patients that I was going to see on my way home and I know it's weird but I always feel like I can't relax as I know that I am working later. Trying to make the most of the day so my cat has just gone for his elderly person check up and flu jab hence I have been up since 4am (he has been crying as he is hungry) as he is having a fasting blood test so I'm tired now

My aversion to fish is due to having had a spoonful of cod liver oil everyday until I was 16  Seeing how fast your ticker is going is really inspiring me :D o/

You should never be disappointed. You always try so hard to be good! It's not your fault that you have such thoughtful friends! Well it is, because they're responding to your kindness!

Well many congratulations to gym slogger, Preston with that weight loss. Impressive!

And also well done to Diane for a pound off in spite of all the temptations put in her way. I am not surprised by all the kind gifts bestowed on you by your very dear friends and colleagues and of course, you had no recourse but to eat/drink those gifts. Soon your friends will know to b*y you a plant or some flowers instead!

Hope that asamaic gets her kitchen fitted out and healthy cooking started and that she gets a bit of let-up with late night work duties. Also hope that her ankle is improving -- such a nuisance but hoping to hear about improvements.

Well done to ClareBarr for shifting that body clock a bit and shifting some weight too. Great accomplishments!

Thanks ejwrank for your support. I would be happy with just a thank you rather than a gift but I did appreciate their kind thoughts. On a positive note Liquorice got a clean bill of health and his claws clipped but the vet phoned to ask if he was usually so feisty  He must be causing bother as usual.
