Anyone had experience in getting ticketmaster refunds? I got 3 tickets for an event at the London O2 next sunday for £160. Its an Indian show and the event had 2 artists - 1 super famous one, and 1 not so famous. The super famous one just announced on his twitter that he's pulling out - but ticketmaster say the event is not cancelled therefore no refund! Am furious .. the tickets are worth nowhere near £160 if he's not there. What should I do ?? :(

surely if you book for a bill with certain people playing, if the main artist drops out, then its not the same show that you booked for? Have you tried tweeting the O2?

Try asking on Money Saving Experts as they are pretty savvy on things like this. good luck

I take it you pa*d by card. If you have no luck with ticketmaster you try claiming the money back using 'Section 75' if you pa*d by credit card or 'chargeback' if you pa*d with a visa or mastercard debit card. Hope that helps. Good Luck and let us know how you get any whichever route you take. :cross:

Thanks for the prompt advice valda and Legs! I pa*d by debit card, so I'll try to ask my bank about "chargeback".

I've also raised a complaint here: http://www.star.org.uk/consumeradvice/h ... plaintform

Ticketmaster are members of STAR and therefore are obligated to refund booking fees and the ticket's face value price when an event is cancelled, rescheduled or altered (according to this: http://money.uk.msn.com/blog/consumer-c ... 35e&_blg=6 )

I guess if none of this works out, then I'll be forced to use Ticketmaster's ticket resale program to try to resell these tickets (but they take a % of that sale, so I'm guaranteed to lose some money :( )

I'm going to see a band called 'Hadouken' this evening, can't wait!
A horse walks into a bar and the bartender asks, "Why the long face?"

A pony walks into the bar and whispers, "I'll have a beer, please." The barkeeper asks, "Why are you whispering?".
"I'm a little hoarse."

Good luck and stick to your guns. The bill has substantially been altered, I would say :cross:

you could always look on Scarletmist to see if anyone is after tickets. bit of a long shot but you never know

Rush should be going on tour this autumn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go ahead, make my day - by visiting my blog: http://jacobthehobnob.wordpress.com/

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.
