Oh pants... most of my friends are away in Vegas and it's the weekend and I have naff all to do, my other friends are all over the country and i can't afford to visit. bahhh why did this only just occur to me... i should have made plans ages ago!

Attending Maundy Thursday service at Westminster Abbey!
I am arriving in style now...

The tourists will be all waiting to take a picture of you!

I was at Westminster Abbey on Tueday for the St John's Passion and some lady mayor had a car waiting for her outside the main entrance after the concert ... the car had a crest on top of it and a security person waiting to open the door ... so by the time the mayor came out everyone had their camera's ready thinking it was a royal crest ... Big disappointment all around


PS.: At least that was an amusing moment after an otherwise quite a dissappointing experience at the Abbey.
Most of the ushers were very unfriendly if not rude. They seemed to assume that anyone p*ying for the concert was really there because they were after seeing the Abbey for free. On my way to and from the ladies - which were in a part of the Abbey that was not used for the concert - I was told by at least 3 different ushers to make sure I went straight back to my seat afterwards ... the third one even had the cheek to say "They don't really want the bathroom, they just want to look around!" I couldn't resist replying "I wonder what all these people were doing in the queue in front of me, then. I had to queue for 15 minutes!" OK, some people were not running back to there seats, but slowly wandering and looking at the Abbey around them. But what is wrong with that? There were more than 20 minutes to go before the start of the concert. And after all the concert was not a freebie. My ticket was a birthday present but it was a lot more than the entrance to the Abbey which I believe is £16! Also, even if there should be some good reason that us normal mortals don't know about couldn't they still have said it in a friendly or at least polite way and treated us as innocent until proven guilty?
Shame the concert didn't make up for the bad start as they managed to turn this great and tragic work into something sounding pretty muddy and bland without the passion that the title demands.

I shall echo this! Except I am finished work for the day. I told my manager (of my second job) that my car broke down yesterday (which it did) and that I might not be in today. It has been fixed now but she doesn't know that.

PS.: Just realised we havn't got a royal smily?!?! This is the closest to a crown I could find as I didn't have time to google ...
