The Diary Room
Re: The Diary Room
Husband and I saw Bertolucci's Before the Revolution (1964) at the BFI last night. We won tickets and it must have been through an FMUK competition alert. We were thoroughly unimpressed with a very tedious story of a young man who was so full of political rhetoric but not much else and his relationship/affair with his aunt --ugh! And the BFI (formerly called the National Film Theatre and built expressly for cinema viewing) has to be one of the more uncomfortable places to see a film. The seats all lean back so it is impossible to sit upright and no legroom to speak of. And the film was very slightly out of sync with the sound so if you were by chance an Italian speaker it would have driven you nuts. As it was we had to work hard to see the subtitles (or at least I did) but there was a slapping sequence that looked very silly. For a place that is supposed to be for people who appreciate cinema, it does try my patience.

Re: The Diary Room
I am on 3, have been for about 6 years and I would have recommended them until recently, but I no longer have reception on my phone at home unless its in one corner of the lounge, it has just disappeared and I now have very poor signal anywhere within about a 10mile radius of where I live!! I know its not my phone because if I go out of the area signal returns, but there are still lots of pockets where I have nothing. I contacted them and it seems a signal has been switched off and there are no plans to switch it back on.aruif wrote:i'm not bothering. as far as i can tell the running goes past the end of my road assuming i'm still living here so i will watch that if my mum isn't successful in her application.
...
is anyone here on the Three network btw? i'm considering moving from 02 to Three so I can upgrade for less as o2 is horribly expensive!
My husband was also with them it was a nightmare to cancel his contract, the customer service is shockingly bad, it took 2 hours and 3 phone calls to finally get the pac code, once my contract is up I will be leaving too.
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!
Re: The Diary Room
ahh that's shit! i was hoping to read good things! i thought it would have got better not worse. why turn off signals they should be adding more shouldn't they? hmmm. surely if that's the case you could get out of your contract sooner because they've changed the way you can use your phone in your own home which doesn't sound like a fair use of your contract.
i wish o2 wasn't so expensive, orange is even worse by the looks of it.

Re: The Diary Room
I used to be with three and then changed to 02. they are good but thought I'd try tesco to get Clubcard points and they seem to be good
it stays that way.

Tesco Mobile have some deals of the best deals I have seen around at the moment, my contract is almost up, I really can't face arguing to end it sooner after trying to cancel my OH's.

Re: The Diary Room
There's nothing wrong with O2. I have a £10 a month contract which includes more minutes and texts than I will ever need so that plus VAT is bascially what I p*y so it's not really expensive for me! I think you can also get cheap O2 broadband if you are a mobile phone customer.
Re: The Diary Room
no i like o2 but i currently only p*y £15 a month for my iphpone. If I "upgrade" with them they're not offering me anything for staying with them... it will cost me £203 for the new phone and they want £32 a month for 24 months with less for the £32 than i get for my £15 that i currently p*y! so over 2 years they want £971 (or £40.45 a month if you consider the cost totally spread).
three will give me the same phone for £69 and monthly £35 with more than enough mins, texts and data, much more than o2!! and would be a total of £909 over 2 years. That's £62 saved
if i could afford to b*y the phone outright i could keep my current tariff and it would cost a total of £870 over 2 years a saving of £100! ... plus I can leave at any time should a better sim only deal come about as i'm already out of contract on this tariff.
i use my phone a lot! i'm nervous of entering a 24 month contract with a different smart phone as i don't trust they will last and in the long run will see me stuck without a phone like has happened pre- iphone. :/
that's why i was asking about Three, cos i could do with saving any money possible!
