There's an argument over why the soldiers killed him. People are saying he should have been captured alive and brought back to America for the family members of his victims to spit on or something like that. But my question would be this: Would YOU want to get on a plane with him?

I'm sorry, that was very tasteless :p.

Glad the bastard is dead.

It would have been very hard to capture him alive. I am sure he would have committed suicide before he allowed US troops to take him into custody.

And if he was in custody, then that would encourage his followers to try and rescue him.

It makes sense that he was killed.

Let's just hope that he isn't made into a martyr and extremists don't take drastic action in response to his death.

If you always hesitate because you're afraid of retaliation, you will always lose. Personally I hate the idea of being given the choice between being a muslim or being dead - i'd choose to rip out the throat of the person asking or die trying. Let's hope not :) Let's hope this leads to better outcomes. Hague did ask the Embassies to be a bit more vigilant, though so I think he shares same concern as you!

Alas, I am just stating a fact of life - not that I was opposed to the killing. He has killed so many people, so he deserves all he gets. But there are fanatics out there, who feels this is not so.
