went to see Gaga on Saturday.

I can confirm I don't like her. I was bored stupid for most of it. She's nothing new or inventive or original or different she may as well be madonna with less pointy boobs and more swear words.

YAWN

Was supposed to see Birdy on Tuesday but on my way had a call that meant I had to go home so missed that.

Next gig is now The Charlatans at The Garage (tiny gig for them) so I'm looking forward to that.

I just got a ticket for the Killers too but after Gaga I'm wondering if I can stand it!

A mate went to see them last night at a 'free' concert and said it was amazing... mostly new material from the forthcoming album but really good. Said he wouldn't mind going to see them again...

I'd go more but the tickets (plus fees!) always seem so expensive, then there's the late night... wanted to see ABC doing Lexicon of Love but too late - almost sold out in no time. Maybe they'll add a second date.

I've just got back from the Kermode and Mayo Bond special at Media City.

It was absolutely fantastic, my spine is still tingling and the hairs on my arms are still on end. It would have been nice to hear a few more tunes, but it was great see the old couple bantering in person and when the songs came it couldn't have been any better.

Highlights were the Bond theme and Nobody Does it Better.

There's a similar show on Radio 2 and the red button tonight at 8 with less chat and a few more spy themes, I can't wait for it.

Oooooooh... i heard them going on about on the last podcast.
Must've been an 'interesting' experience to see them go about their ways in person.
So good to hear that it was a great experience o/

I didn't get to go and see Birdy in the end, I had guestlist n everything :( I had sad news when I was on my way so had to cancel and be with my family.

Next planned gig is to see a show by my new friend Sam Bradley. He actually wants to be my lawyer - he's watched a lot of LA Law - though I think I'll stick to my proper one! Looking forward to seeing him he's very lovely and very good at what he does.

ARGH. Just read the Brixton Academy listing. I'm so sad:
Hot Chip, Grizzly Bear, Tame Impala, Four Tet, Crystal Castles, Ben Howard, Skunk Anansie, Ben Folds, The xx, 2 Many DJs, Sigur Ros, Alt-J.
I've already seen the two first ones... but why am I not rich yet??? What am I doing wrong??

Oh btw, saw George Michael's concert last night. And it was pretty amazing! I couldn't watched the whole thing, but the stage arrangements and the performance were perfect. During one song the audience could see a video of Dita Von Teese doing a burlesque show on a giant screen behind the musicians, and it was... huum.... completely disturbing. In a good way!
