Ultimate Summer Film Quiz

Carrie Remake. Chloe Moretz tweets excitedly of landing lead role.

Chloe is such an obvious type cast for this...of course she is perfect for it though! I'm pretty keen on this remake, sure the original is such a memorable classic but it will be nice to see this story getting an update re-imagining treatment. The director, Kimberley Pierce has only made 5 others films most notably Boys dont Cry but she seems to be an intelligent film maker. She plans to be more faithful to the novel which Brian De Palma's version actually strayed a lot away from. I say good luck with this remake.

I had to re-read that a couple of times to defuse my bewilderment. Moretz is my age and she's taking on the role of Carrie! I won't criticise her without first seeing the eventual film product but 15 seems a little too young for me, given that Sissy Spacek was 26 in the original. Who knows what they'll do with it, though...

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.
