I felt so lucky to be sent inside that night. Same for Regina Spektor. I would have been so sad to work at a door or whatever... but I'm less a fan that my sister. She used to really love her. I felt I was there for her :)
I wanted Tori to play Mr Zebra so bad!!... but she didn't. Grr.
I'm sorry that you couldn't make it to the gig, ClareBarr! :(

Octopus, so you work at the Royal Albert Hall? Nice!

It's a pity that Tori didn't play some more "classics" during the encore. Funnily enough, I knew about 90% of the songs played in the first and the second halves but knew none of the songs played during the encore...

I love Mr Zebra! I have nearly all her albums, including bootleg stuff, but I don't have the more recent stuff like midwinter graces, gold dust etc. You've inspired me to listen to all her music again & b*y the CDs I don't have, to complete my collection!! I wonder if any of the albert hall gig is on you tube...might check it out :)

Going to see 'Dan Le Sac' tomorrow and then on sunday going to see 'Liars'!
A horse walks into a bar and the bartender asks, "Why the long face?"

A pony walks into the bar and whispers, "I'll have a beer, please." The barkeeper asks, "Why are you whispering?".
"I'm a little hoarse."

I went to see a band called 'Liars' at my local concert venue last night. Having been a fan for a few years, I was really excited to see what there live show was going to be.

The support band, might of been the weirdest support band I have seen. He came on wearing a cloak and just stood there playing drone sounds with a beat, slowly getting faster, heavier and louder, until it reaches the climax and he goes off stage. In the meantime he has video from a Tchaikovsky film.

When liars come on stage they blew me away, they (for the most part) are just a wall of noise, which is what I would expect from a band like that. It was so loud, they played for a hour closing with 'The Other Side of Mt. Heart Attack' which was beautiful. Definatly a band to see when they play london in tuesday, or when they come back to the UK. Especially if you love loud and experimental music

OOh you're so lucky! I really like them! I actually wonder if I already saw them live but can't remember (don't tell me "oh you would remember it" cause it's really not true... :shifty: )

Saw Idina Menzel at the Apollo Theatre yesterday afternoon - phenomenal. A particular delight for MT fans with songs from Wicked and Rent (of course) as well as other shows.

YES, Grizzly Bear on Monday!!
Could only see two songs in 2009 as I was working for the festival they played for. So glad I'm now able to make it up for it!

They don't come to the UK to headline that often, so they might of been supporting or at a festival

No I think they came to one of the festivals or venues I worked for but no idea. I might have been too drunk or busy...
