Just back from seeing this at Odeon Braehead, Glasgow. Cinema was probably about 75-80% full or thereabouts.

I recognised Gordon-Levitt's face, but just couldn't remember where from. I can't believe he was the wee cute guy out of 3rd Rock - my, how he has grown!!

Thought the film was pretty good. Clever in the way it switched backwards and forwards to different parts of the relationship - yet it wasn't confusing for doing so. Loved the scenes in Ikea -will need to try that sometime :D

Wore my FMUK badge to see if I could suss out any fellow FMUK-ers, but didn't spot anyone recognising the badge. If any of the Weegies see me wearing it, please do say 'hi' o/

I would rate the film 7/10.

p.s. My mum says she isn't getting the salted popcorn from Odeon next time - it is apparently wayyyyyy too salty!

The Odeon Covent Garden decided to put the film into their smallest screen but they probably knew what they were doing as it didn't fill up to the brim. The attendance rate was pretty decent though.

I thought the film was quirky in the use of black&white now and then, drawings, split screen, going back in time, narrating bits..
Sadly, it film felt a bit incomplete in the narrating of the story and the big emotions were missing. But it was funny enough (the author's note at the beginning sort of set the tone!), and it was a sweet story.
I was astonished how the kid from Third Rock from the Sun had grown up, he is going to be a heartbreaker, that one! He raises it to a definite 7/10.

Took the girlfriend to see this today and we both really enjoyed it. I saw the trailers quite a while ago and was really looking forward to seeing it.

I obviously loved the opportunity to watch Zooey Deschanel for an hour and a half, and the same with Joseph Gordon-Levitt for her.

Great plot, great soundtrack, really good script and well acted.

8.5 to maybe 9.0 / 10 from me!

We saw this at the Odeon, Marble Arch -- first time there for a preview for us and we liked the cinema. No problems with identity checks as they ushered us past people who were b*ying tickets and made us feel quite important with our free film print-out. The cinema was nice, slightly odd shape but good size screen and good views and doesn't smell like a toilet so far superior to Panton Street. My daughter and I enjoyed the film. It's funny, quirky and enjoyable and certainly not your standard rom-com. We also have a family member (teenage son) who groans if we mention rom-com and cites 27 Dresses as the reason why he'll never see another rom-com again.

Went to the Covent Garden viewing and, like Beate said, it was in their smallest screen but it was really adorable.
the girlfriend really enjoyed the movie as did I, the fact that it is not a love story made it all the more interesting to watch. Seeing JGL (who has indeed grown up a bit!) going back and forth from being happy to being sad. Come on, who hasn't felt like that once it his/her life?

Definitely one of the best movies I've seen this year!

Went to see this last night at Swiss Cottage in London, never been to this cinema before, the cinema was small and only about 70% full. Loved the film, thought it was innovative and different, definitely not predictable - 9/10.

Saw this last night at Westerhailes, Edinburgh about 80% full. Took the page from the More magazine but they didn't want it. One day I'll not have the relevant page from the paper and that is when they will ask for it! No phones taken or bags searched. Oriental girl two seats along from me keeping switching her phone on to answer text messages!!!

With all the hype and high scores given I was really looking forward to this but was rather disappointed. Yes, it was different, being from a guy's point of view, and some bits were funny as everyone can relate to feeling on top of the world when things are going great. But my friend and I would not rate it highly and certainly not "One of the best movies I've have seen this year."
5 out of 10 for us.

Just went down to the local HMV and b*ght the last (or only) soundtrack for this movie. just wonderful!

Yes, Probably my expections were too high and you being a "mere" child and me being over 50 had something to do with it as well!!! :kiss: ;)

not sure whether I should take that child remark as an insult or a compliment...
