I was surprised as never been to a Sky screening that was full before. Normally tickets match bums on seats, so I have a sneaky feeling they let in folk with umpteen kids extra as they suspected there would be spares, as there are normally a few.
Fair enough, managed to get on with lots else instead and got a free ticket to go and see something else instead at time of my choosing.
Sky lady and Odeon guy were very helpful and pleasant.
Yes both were pleasant, but I did overhear him saying to her (while you were waiting for your voucher) that she should try to not offer too many vouchers and only if requested. Better to hope that people just agree that it was free anyway and they were unlucky and walk away.
Take-home-message is that it is always worth asking/complaining in as nice a way as possible. It yields results.
Having said that if one shows up late and the cinema is full....that's a different story.
Today myself and Althonian were well in time. Glad she saw me getting compensated.
Result!

Cardiff was not 100% full with quite a few seats left. I have found that corralling my GS at the end of a row (by the wall) helps prevents the running around. He was engrossed by most of it. As I had to take the glasses off a few times I did notice that a fair bit was not in 3D. There were some really good 3D sequences. Thoroughly enjoyed Puss in boots and laughed as much as the children. I just knew the
bad egg woulf come through in the end. Loved the final ending for him and I did have to stop myself from sniffling too loud.
I thought this a better film than Happy Feet which we went to on Sat.
Antonio can read anything out and it would send shivers down my spine - move over soft paws.

I was so eager to watch this film that I arrived early (an hour and a half early) worth the wait though as I loved the film and I may even b*y the 3d DVD version when it is released :-)

It was ok/ more of a cutesy film but if you compare it to Shrek its definitely lacking.
Maybe they should have started with a spin off with donkey.

What actually happened at that point?
I must admit I nodded off for a minute or two, no comment on the film which I really enjoyed, but just the effects of 2 early starts and 2 late nights in a row.
He sacrificed himself to save the golden goose (and saving the golden goose meant saving the entire town from the big terror). When he "died" he broke and was a golden egg on the inside, prompting Puss to comment "I always knew he was good on the inside"). The big terror in her turn picked him up and brought him along back to the castle/woods in the clouds.
Thanks.

I think I'd missed less than I thought. As I said, very enjoyable, the early weekend screenings can just can be a bit of struggle sometimes.

I also enjoyed the film and laughed out loud quite alot. A good family film, funny for both adults and children alike. Most of the children were quiet and therefore I presume, engrossed in the film. I also thought the 3D worked for me, which is rare. 8/10
I also went to the Sky interview, so I'm a bit frustrated that I still haven't met many fmukers, mainly 'cos I don't know what everyone looks like. I probably walked passed you all unknowingly

.
evilzadi wrote:Loved it! I thought it was a great film. I thought it was quite funny how they had incorporated all the characters with twists. I think this is one of the first times, where i've actually noticed the 3D and enjoyed it too. But i think Softpaws stole it for me, her character had everything!
After the movie, I went to the Sky interview, and had to wait quite a while for it, even though it was only a minute or two. But it was great to meet Pxc, Beate & OH.
8/10 from me.
