Loved it! It's totally my kind of movie.

Ted from How I Met Your Mother is the man!
This film is a typical slice of life genre, with a witty, funny base, along with a bit of romance, a bit of shocking event, how people dealing with ageing.

I suppose there were quite a few sub-story lines that ran parallel with each other a while, which did give the feel that it's pulling the audience all over, but the central characters development, how he comes to terms of what is best for himself, maintained the main plot.

It's entertaining, quite good for a date night, it will make you smile. It's quite thought provoking if you put yourself in his shoes and would you make the same choices? that kind of way.

I still want to see this, as SFF cancelled my preview while I was en route to the cinema - grr! Still, that's rare for me, fortunately and I can always use a voucher when it's released. Even if views here have been mixed, it sounds more my sort of film than many others around at present.

I agree. Subtle, gentle yet interesting & entertaining.

Here's my take on this: http://londonfilmfanatiq.com/2012/09/30/liberal-arts/

Loved Jenkins in it and Olsen, to a slightly lesser degree. I do wish Radnor had a sense of direction for the script.
102 Different free films seen in 2010 plus 2 repeat viewings and a few tv show screenings... not too shabby. Thanks to everyone for their contributions here.

Finally got to see this today after not risking the PH preview on Sunday 23, only for SFF to cancel the Cineworld one next day. So - thanks again to jeancomp for the link - I went to the Saga screening at CPH. This was absolutely my sort of film and I really enjoyed it, but what a shame and a surprise that I was the sole person present! Such a low turnout won't encourage the promoters...

Only my 2nd Saga screening and the 1st was the fabulous BEMH, so a hard act to follow, but a shame there were no goody bags this time. Mind you, they'd only have needed the one...
