I actually caught this film on a late Saturday night, while in Edinburgh on the eve of my marathon while my more sensible running partners slept in early! You see, it doesnt matter where I am, I have to see a movie, wether it be on my Bluray laptop, hotel room TV or a cinema. I want movie! Plus I am a sucker for anything time travel. I even belong to a time travel book group, so I was very much looking forward to MIB3.

I had inteneded to see the IMAX version so I could give a review of it for the Edinburgh locals but it started just a tad late so I opted for the 2D screening (which is what I prefer anyway).

I only saw the first MIB which I had reasonably enjoyed. I wasnt too fond of the silly alien premise itself, what I did love was the dynamic between Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith. I didnt bother with number 2 though because I heard that Tommy wasnt in it much. I sont expect too much from a MIB film but I do expect some fun to be had with the two loveable but very different agents.

MIB3 turned out to be far better than I ever imagined, it was superb. Yes, it was solely down to the relationship of the 2 agents that makes this movie an absolute joy but the time travel element was so wonderfully executed that I actually almost did what rawr_xoxo did in the post above...ahem, almost :shifty: Will Smith as always is supremely charismatic and pretty much carried the weight of the film. Josh Brolin as the young Agent K, channeled Tommy Lee's dead pan expressions to the T, giving the character a little more mysterious flair which actually serves the story well. Alien stuff is silly, it always will be but I enjoyed its silliness this time. I really want to see it again in fact. Its the charm and time travel story that attracts me and its enough for me to love the film. I got back to my hotel at 1:30am. I should have been thinking about my marathon in the morning but all I thought about was Agents K and J...

I went to go watch this at Finchley Road on the 25th! Apart from the late start of the movie and a few cheesy jokes, I actually enjoyed it! I would give it an 8/10...

sagged in the middle a lot but better than expected, the highlight really being the ending that nicely ends the trilogy.

Young agent K was a joy to watch, although Alice Eve was clearly miscast as Young Emmz Thompson.

Went to see this with one of freebie 3D vouchers. OH and I enjoyed it but it isn't anything special.

People, don't be meh about this, it's fantastic! OH and I thoroughly enjoyed this at a quiet & empty afternoon screening at the PH Greenwich where we still got our favourite seats despite it being general admission and us not being overly early. In fact, OH told me about 5 times on the way home what a cracker it had been. I wanted to clap and cheer at the end!

There were some really good gags in there, Will Smith and Josh Brolin were great as was Boris the Animal (it's JUST Boris!"), and I cried at the end. Then laughed when the guy who sees all the alternate futures turns up again. "That was a close one". The only drawback is that Emma Thompson is completely sidelined in this. If we get a MIB4, she needs to be in it way more.

"A miracle is something that seems impossible but happens anyway." Yep - a sequel that's as good as the first one.

Speaking of sequels, we got a trailer for Ice Age 4 and it looks awesome. I can't wait for that one.

Because I wasn't expecting anything from this, I enjoyed this quite a bit, best film of the series for me.

It's definitely worth checking out.

Saw this with my Odeon Groupon ticket.

Good fun really cheered me up.

Sufficiently silly and well done. Love the deadpan of Agent K in both guises!

8/10 from me.
