Saw this tonight at a packed Picadilly Apollo Cinema and it was packed

I'm a Family Guy/ American Dad fan and when I heard the sweet dulcet tones of Patrick Stewart narrations I settled into my comfort zone. Yes, it was crude, racist and sexist but really I have seen and heard worse and the film is not to be taken too seriously...after all it is about a teddy bear which comes to life through a boys wish. For me the best bit was the surreal addition of Sam J Jones from the 80s Flash Gordon film. He was just acting like an old sports jock in this film but Flash Gordon brought back boyhood memories because he is the saviour of the universe.

Really this is essentially a buddy buddy film but with a talking teddy bear as one of the buddies. Quite enjoyable if you are a Family Guy/American Dad fan. Not sure if others would really enjoy.

7/10

PS. Wish I was at the earlier preview then I would have got a free copy of Flash Gordon dvd.

I'm surprised to say that I did enjoy this, I wasn't sure that it would be my sense of humour yes there were a few crude bits and politically incorrect but generally a funny film. 7/10

Not a bad comedy, but it is nothing special at all.

Comedies never do. You can see the joke coming a mile away.
Having said that, I have watched Airplane, Top Secret and The Naked Gun more times than I can count.

Purposely not reading above before my review.

FAN-BLOODY-HILARIOUS!!!

Seriously best comedy in ages. Much better than even trailer made out. Many laugh out loud moments. Loved it from start to finish. I want a TED!
Edinburgh ended itself with laughing at one particular (location specific - reference to local celebrity) joke. Thought the cameos were very funny.
Well worth the wait. Highly recommended. Crude, yes. Un-PC, yes. Puerile, yes. But very, very funny. Not laughed like that for a long time.

Got to be 10/10 for me.

Now to read what the haters have said. (Surely not!)

Please say I'm not gonna hate this! Trailer looks awesome though.
Well since i'm apparently the only one who liked this movie, odds are you'll hate it

I was very surprised at the high turn out at the Apollo Piccadilly today. I went expecting the worse after reading some of the reviews here but I have to say that I found it entertaining enough despite its crude, puerile and unpolitically correct type of humour. It must have been the surprise factor that did it for me.
