Re: I Give It a Year
I too thought it was fine a bit crude in parts (which I don't like) but generally an OK film. 6/10

Re: I Give It a Year
To be honest I went with low expectations, and I was pleasantly surprised as a did laugh out loud a few times. I thought the story line itself was very poor and predictable but loved the awkward moments.
I give this film 6/10, and I would recommend anyone to see it.

I enjoyed this film, it did have some bits that made me laugh out loud. Some of the situations were like real life (i have witnessed my self) and Stephen Merchant was brilliant. My sense of humour to be honest for me 7/10
Re: I Give It a Year
I saw this last night at Odeon Sheffield and enjoyed it, quite few funny moments i and guessing few others thought as h=ard few people laugh at various points. Not really into rating out of 10 though for any film!

I was this movie last night. This film was hilarious, laugh out loud comedy. Was so much better than I expected.
definately would recommend to everyone to watch.

Re: I Give It a Year
It was a pretty hamfisted attempt at an 'edgy' romcom...and it saddened me to see Actors like the hugely talented Olivia Colman and Rafe Spall turning up in such a clumsy, low rent movie.
That being said, Stephen Merchant was amusing and did steal every scene.
The soundtrack was godawful to boot.
5/10

???!!! Paul Weller - You Do Something To Me ???!!!
the soundtrack had me bopping in my seat!!
Re: I Give It a Year
Sorry but for me, playing that tune at a wedding is about as original as having Robbie Williams "Angels" at a funeral. I enjoy Weller circa The Style Council years and The Jam but I find his solo material a bit hokey and overplayed.jojojoanne wrote:badcoverversion wrote:The soundtrack was godawful to boot.

I was referring more to the sassy gal anthems and the notably shit Crowded House cover.
