I'm guessing your girlfriend isn't an FMUKer, is she? Otherwise, you'd be in big trouble. ;)

Hey, it's a chick flick! We need that now and then as those guys don't usually exist in real life! But he was portrayed as a little young and naive (his idea of successful birth control was fantastically teenage-mind like) so they had to send him round the world at the end so he could "grow up and collect experiences". And make him even more wonderful. o/

Saw it this morning at Leeds/Bradford.

Didn't quite know what to expect, but really enjoyed it and laughed at quite a few of the jokes and came away with a nice warm feel-good sensation!

Shame it was quite empty with only 40 - 50 people in quite a large screen (about 400 seats.)
I once went hiking with M. C. Escher. It was uphill all the way there and uphill all the way back.

Hi all - I back. Saw this in Screen 1 at Birmingham Odeon this morning. What a strange screen - it was at a slight angle so you had to sit in the seats on the far right to face the screen properly. We hadn't realised at first, but noticed all the regulars, presumably, know this and they were all sitting to the far right of the screen! So we moved quickly before all those seats were taken! It was about 75% full.

Had a lovely chat with moomoo111 on the phone as she was going to be away. She told me that the manager would welcome and announce the screening, and true to form he did. Very friendly and welcoming, he told us that it had no certificate yet (indeed the one we were shown had no certificate screened), as we were seeing it three weeks before anyone else, and so he really wanted our feedback, and then cracked a joke about Catherine Zeta Jones doing what she does best and that is smile!

The film started on time at 11am, and was sickly sweet and predictable. Everything is perfect, Catherine Zeta Jones is sexy, beautiful, smart, landing a dream job, and Justin Bartha is gorgeous, blue eyes, big smile, great cook, great with the kids etc, but I enjoyed it as it had a lot of funny, bitter sweet moments. The kids were great and very normal.

But what is it about the American's with their toilet humour?? I thought they were squeamish to even say the word "toilet" preferring to use the word "bathroom". And I was even told off by an American boss in a previous life about going to the "toilet" instead of the "bathroom'! Now it appears in two recent films. :P :P

Catherine Zeta Jones as always looks great at any camera angle. She is so lucky to be born so beautiful, I am totally envious! Here's a glimpse of her typically sexy and beautiful

Hello
Seen the film in the Odeon at Cardiff Bay, cinema about half full. A pleasant film, laughed in places, the children were good in the scenes and CZJ was quite good in her role.
As others have said, thought the ending rushed, shame really after the slowish build up. 7.5/10

And also agree that the American directors seem to have the typical - rich / beautiful - person/people in dream jobs, or the rich / beautiful - person/people in distress, for a while, then miraculously they bounce back to be once again the RBP. This film did have the guy in a coffee shop job - but did have him be head hunted and - you've guessed it, move into a dream job.

Obviously I am not in the RBP bracket more like the PUP - :nono:

( I did try to see if any wrinkles were on their way but couldn't see any :noo: )

I saw this yesterday in Edinburgh. It was 50% full - see Sky you should release tickets the day before to non-subscribers otherwise you are p*ying for no bums on seats!

I really enjoyed it and even liked CZJ who I normally hate in everything she's ever done!

Bizarrely I reviewed a trailer for this film about 6-9 months ago and the ending I saw wasn't the same as the film. In the one I saw she walked past a cafe and saw him sitting in the window with his big backpack and she kept on walking....

Anyway, it was a schmaltzy ending but it was sweet and well acted. the kids were great.

the film didn't feel American; it felt more British in use of humour and sarcasm and the kids really reminded me of the younger two from Outnumbered!

This is premiering in the UK this week at the Edinburgh Film Festival and allegedly the stars are in town for this!

Best rom-com this year so far.

9/10 from me coz I'm a big sap!

Beate wrote:Well I hope everyone who went to the Vue Greenwich today is going to complain sharply to Sky. They started the film at 10.30 instead of 11am when there were only about 12 people in there, ourselves included. I went out twice to complain, but was told the second time that it was Sky's fault and that the manager was not going to stop the film and restart at 11am. I am not quite sure how the manager's decision can be Sky's fault but if they were really misinformed about the starting time, then we should have a go at Sky in their feedback forms. There were a lot of people coming in between 10.30 and 11, and they missed some good scenes, including the one at the women's defence class!
I'd got tickets for my mum and she was one of the unlucky ones and missed the first bit - still, she did enjoy the film. I'm going to e-mail Sky / Odeon on her behalf to complain. Can anyone point me in the right direction since I've (strangely / luckily) not had to complain before.

Thanks :D

Good point. Don't we normally receive feedback forms? Don't recall any this time round.
