Agree with marjoreemarjora.....had not seen the french original before watching this tonight....absolutely loved it.......brilliant performances by everyone.....10/10 for me....as it is hard to give it any less points than The social network overall as a movie even thought both films are very different.......

I saw this movie last night in Edinburgh. The cinema was pretty full although not 100%. The movie started on time so that was good. I thought the start was good although a bit slow. It quickly picked up though so it became exciting towards the middle/end! I was quite impressed with the performances and I thought the script was well written and it worked with with the characters. My favorite thing about it was that the main characters were just normal people, not action heroes! It made the movie easier to believe and it gave it an edge as you did not know whether all would work out in the end. I would recommend it, definitely. 8/10

I agree that the film was slow and after a hard day I was really getting impatient for it to pick up which I felt it did do. A watchable film and the performances were relatively strong but would not be one I would rush to see again.

A 7/10 from me.

Saw it in a 60% full Bristol screening. When you go and see a Paul Haggis film, you kind of know what you'll be getting, in the same way as if your at a Tony Scott film. They are both excellent at laying a story down, dragging it out to the extreme, and then delivering a satisfactory knock out punch. I'm not one for jumping on the "It wasn't a patch on the original" bandwagon, as I like to judge each film on it's own merit. And I liked this, as a piece of Cinema, pure and simple......7/10.

Luckily manage to get my work done in time, so, went to watch with OH.
I didn't even know it's a remake. Agreed with most that it does starts quite slow but I love the part
when he tried to use the home-made key at the elevator. And the twist about the party at the zoo... cause this bring the smart side of him, to bring 2 extra old passengers to deceive the laws
. All in all, an enjoyable enough suspense kind of movie. And made me think, desperate time always calls for a desperate measure.... what would you do, if this happen to you?? I guess for now, we'll say, we'll never do THAT.... but if it's really happen (to add drama... if the sentence is life imprisonment or death???) mmmm :confus:
by the way, brilliant POSTER ( http://www.filmofilia.com/wp-content/up ... 35x790.jpg )

ohhh an 8/10 from me ;)

8/10
Slow to start but I suppose it was just to show how ordinary the characters were so we could identify with them easier.
Very enjoyable.

Surely this has now broken the Blind Side record for most screening codes

Just done a search and only found 14 codes, which is about half the Blind side record.
