They were doing re-runs of Cagney and Lacy on one of those Freeview Channels just a year ago, I think might have been Five USA or something. I watched a few and the story always had me hooked. I can now understand why it was highly praised which I couldnt appreciate when I was a kid. Back then it would be shows like Starsky and Hutch that grabbed my attention. Also I always liked Tyne Daly whenever she appeared in Columbo but now I realise she was even better in Cagney and Lacy.

Having b*ght tickets to the Batman Live show at the O2, I felt in the mood to revisit my Batman animated series DVD box sets last night. I still think they are the best animated comic book series ever and Kevin Conroy is the best ever Batman and Mark Hamill is almost the best ever Joker (Heath stole that crown).

Jerry Seinfeld's new website http://jerryseinfeld.com/

The comedian waxes nostalgic — and not just for Seinfeld. His just-launched site premieres three vintage clips a day from his lovingly curated archive of stand-up bits and TV appearances.

"When I was ten years old, I started watching stand up comedians on TV. I fell in love with them and I'm just as fascinated with stand up comedy today. When I started doing TV, I saved every appearance on every show I did. I thought it might be fun to go through all of it and pick out three bits each day that still amuse me for some reason or another. I've also included stuff I'm doing now, and I'll be adding new stuff as I go."

I hope you found the right one as the music from season 1 is completely different:

Yes I think that's the same one. You know what you did to me with mentioning Youtube? I spent all evening listening to old TV series themes, because when you click on Cagney & Lacey, it offers you Magnum and Moonlighting as well, then you see a link for Little House on the Prairie and Thirtysomething, and before you know it, you are on a nostalgia trip down memory lane! And then I found that you could watch whole episodes of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, and that was it - hooked.

Ha ha ha ha!!! I do exactly the same. At work sometimes we sit here and say do you remember........ and then next thing youtube is on and we're listening to everything and anything we can remember from our childhood. Most usually its kids tv programs!

I do love it when that happens tho :D

I think Dave Lamb has become a bit too sarcastic lately though, erring towards the unecessarily mean side? Or is that just me?

*whoops*! sorry  I think I responded at the wrong bit

Go ahead, make my day - by visiting my blog: http://jacobthehobnob.wordpress.com/

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

She actually lives near me (in north London). I kept seeing her in the supermarket but was too shy to talk to her.

I just watched the season finale of Glee. Brilliant end to the series and LOVED the songs in this episode. o/
