I don't know his so just Googled and I approve! It'd be nice to have a relatively unknown actor in the part.

I don't mind if it goes to his head, all I care about is the amount of screen time he'll spent being either shirtless or wearing a wet t-shirt clinging to his muscles :D

Life of Pi trailer:

Saw it before Diary of a Wimky Kid 3 the other day and thought it looked a lot more mystical and colourful than the book (more like a fantasy film than a tale of survival), but that's not necessarily a bad thing as it really made me want to check out the film!

It's kind of a movie gossip, right?

Ok that's the first and last time I post something like that here - but I don't think we have a "gossip only" thread.
Bad Kristen, BAD.

This is a stunning trailer of a upcoming film called Cloud Atlas...and its 5mins long! Its based on an award winning epic novel spanning past, present and future. Its a Warchowskies movie but joining them is Tom Tykwer who wrote/directed Run Lola Run. Starring Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Jim Broadbent and Hugo Weaving. I havent read the book but I love the Warchowskys movies. They get too ambitious at times and fall over their feet but there is no denying their visual impact and style. Loved Matrix trilogy (though Matrix 3 sucked), Speed Racer, and V for Vendetta. Only film I havent seen of their is Bound but I hear good things about that film too. I would anticipate Cloud Atlas to be a glorious mess but with Run Lola's director joining in as co-director and writer, this might actually be a coherent adaptation...we'll see but regardless I am very pumped for it.

Anyone read the book? Sure Canadian_Turtle has?? :P

Anyway, here is the glorious apple trailer in HD. There is no HD version on youtube yet but there is a very very low 360p one which really doesnt do it justice.

1080p

720p

480p

And here is a funny intro from the 3 directors explaining why trailer is 5mins long and how the hell they got greenlit to make it as 3 writers and 3 directors.

My film reviews here . ......My FMUK 2014 ratings.......My FMUK 2011 ratings.......My FMUK 2013 ratings . ......My FMUK 2012 ratings .

Actually, I haven't! I did see the trailer earlier yesterday which made it seem like an awful lot of story-telling for a single movie (particularly considering how the thick the novel is). I do own the book (it just has been gathering dust on my shelves for years...) so will try to read it before seeing the film.

I can't check your links as at work, but this is a high-res version of the trailer (6 minutes):

I tried to read the book - got a short way in and got bored. Must try harder....
