ha yeah thinking through the practicalities it doesn't seem so fabulous any more if breakfast and wifi etc costs extra. It's also further away from work than my own bed too. (would be different if it were at the same hotel where the screening is being held)

I may be wrong, Elski, but I think the film is in Soho House (that's not the same as Soho Hotel). Soho House is a private club -- I thought it very snooty when I went to a screening there once but maybe the staff will be better behaved this time to us plebs.

No the screening is at Soho hotel and the stay in a hotel is a Marriott Kensington. I think there were two comps with the hotel stay as part of the prize.

That's silly, that the stay is not in the same hotel. Could you change the date of the stay, say, for Fri/Saturday, then you would not have to go to work the next day?

The prize lady said the hotel stay had to be taken on the Monday night and also seems non-transferable out of my name but I'm thinking of calling the hotel tomorrow and checking out options. It would be nicer to use it some other time for my mum or friends.

Oh sorry elski -- you are lucky you've got the Soho Hotel -- lovely and comfy. I've won tickets for Soho House and that is quite different and I remember having to sit low in our seats or else everyone else behind me could see our heads shadowing the screen. Hope we don't cause the same problem this time, Beate.
