Sometimes the gloss of a film wears off with the second viewing but not for me in this case. I still loved it and picked up little references that I hadn't really noticed the first time around. A clever concept, jaunty soundtrack, impressive visual effects, strong cast and a gorgeous leading man - what more do I need? (Oh, I know: my own supply of NZT

)
Stil lno heating? its been weeks now!
Film was a bit meh for me. The beginning of the film did my head it with all the banging (I am not a morning person) then I gradually started off enjoying it in a mindless manner. Something to pass the time away, quite a good story, clever effects, nice looking cast etc. However there were too many plot holes and some really stupid OTT things that ruined it for me 6/10
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks

Saw this today, quite enjoyed it but agree with other posts too many plot holes. It never did explain why the blond was killed nor who did it.
I assume it was the henchman who was watching him throughough the film. When Eddie goes for the line up, the lawyer tells him "the room was wiped clean" (suggesting a professional kill) so I think he was probably followed to the hotel, and then the bad guy searched the room after Eddie left, the blonde was killed to keep her quiet.
That's my interpretation anyway.

Since I was already ready and the ticket said to be there by 10, I thought why not and showed up on time. They started the film at 10.15 instead of 10.30, which I thought was strange especially as more people came in after the movie started. I was glad I got there early!
I really enjoyed it. I have a ticket to see it again this week and I'm looking forward to it.

Shocking isn't it? I guess they figure with summer approaching they don't have to worry about it for 6 months.

It was broken when I saw Brighton Rock in there about 6 weeks ago and still not fixed. They had 2 electric heaters (at the front and the back) but that doesn't really have much effect in a large room. I would have preferred to be in screen 2 which is smaller but has working heating!
Another thing I forgot to mention earlier is that when I handed over my ticket printout, the lady asked me how old I was! When I told her my age, she said I looked about 15!
Eddie's girlfriend broke up with him because he wasn't doing anything with his life basically. He'd been trying to write a book for awhile and still hadn't written anything. After she broke up with him over lunch (I think it was lunch, I can't remember) he was walking back to his apartment and ran into his ex-brother in law (brother of the woman he was married to for "five minutes" as the brother in law puts it) who ended up giving him one of the pills. He was dubious, but decided that things couldn't really get worse so he took the pill.
If I remember right the pill started taking effect right as the woman started talking to him. If I missed anything in there I'm sure someone else will come along and fill you in!
Were you by any chance at the Leicester screening? Someone came in and sat next to me at about that time.
Saw this at Edinburgh this morning. About 75% full.
Really enjoyed the film. the deep long shots of New york at the start and later on were spectacular although if they'd gone on too long I might have got travel sick!
Bradley Cooper makes a good and engaging leading man as well as being reasonable eye candy!
This was a clever story and they dealt with it really well. I just thought they rushed the ending a little bit too much. Another 10 minutes would have been perfectly fine!
If I has just oneof these pills, I'd learn a language i think!
9/10
