Re: What's Your Number?
They had belt and braces security at the screening tonight, took mobiles of us and then filmed with infra-red camera. I guess it must be conditions set out for the paper to hold the comp & screening as opposed to SFF ones. Nice not to be disturbed by people fiddling with their phones during a film, wouldn't mind if they did it at all screenings.

Same here in Southampton and i totally agree with you.
As for the film very enjoyable and funny but predictable as with most rom-coms.

Re: What's Your Number?
FMUK was hogging the second row from the back, having to resort to talking to each other as our phones had been taken away, LOL. Sat with hdaniel82 + OH and bevvy, kept seats for funthing29 and welcomed hopeprince and cliveas, who managed seats next to the rest of us. No water bottles or anything else though, which I was a bit disappointed about. The screening filled to almost capacity I think, and we got a short introduction by some lovefilm lady.
The film was just as funny and enjoyable a second time round, and my rumbling tummy noticed how much Anna Faris and Chris Evans were eating during the film - basically non-stop!
Afterwards we were treated to a half hour interactive Q&A with Anna Faris which meant we saw a stream of inane comments from the lovefilm site pop up on the huge screen, like someone calling himself "poop" asking her whether she had a lovefilm subscription, and someone calling himself "the_salad" inviting her to star in his short film, "drinks and food provided".
Weirdly enough, no one asked her what her number was! They read funthing29's twitter question to Anna Faris - it was the only one from twitter they chose. But what I took away from the Q&A is that Disgusting Donald is her husband in real-life! Now that I didn't know. The rest was fairly boring, but she came across as polite and good-natured, and happy to be here.
8/10

Re: What's Your Number?
Reminds me of when they were doing the hustings for my student union elections last year. People were very bravely going up and making speeches about why we should vote for them but whoever organised the event had the great idea to project a twitter hashtag for the elections behind them, so it was abused and people tweeted all sorts of in jokes and nonsense meaning the audience burst into laughter and the poor candidate had no idea what was going on. Bit of a farce.Beate wrote:

Re: What's Your Number?
Not the cleverest rom-com I've ever seen but easily watchable. Light fluffy story which was a bit lacking in comedy but I think Faris' charm carries the the film. Thank you Beate and bevvy for saving me seats. Nice to also see hdaniel82, hopeprince and cliveas.
I thought the Q&A was quite enjoyable. LoveFilm started the Q&A the second the film finished, before the credits rolled, so only a handful of people managed to get out before the Q&A started.
Faris is funny in person too and seems friendly and down to earth. I found the chat screen behind her so distracting though, especially when I read comments like 'looking beautiful Anna,' 'is it hard being so beautiful Anna', or 'do you like fish and chips'. I had no idea my question would be asked, let alone that the host would provide my name, and I felt all the heads of the FMUKkers turn in my direction, LOL.
5/10 for the film and 7/10 for the Q&A.
