Brings a tear to the eye, that does. I am pretty sure I and people these days would do a Billy Zane in the same situation.
Completely agree, I loved Molly and Harold, but sadly most people are Cals :(

Just think, without Ioan, Cameron would have had to think of another way to save Rose. :shifty:
Anyone else think that if the stupid girl had just stayed in the lifeboat, she would have given Jack a fighting chance to survive?

That's not very romantic, now is it, Beate? :p

I don't think Jack ever really had a chance though. With all the time lost being stuck down below and so many boats only half (or even less) full, he wouldn't have gotten on a boat. He was all about getting Rose safe, it wouldn't have mattered to him much anymore if she was already (reasonably) safe in a life boat.

Defeats the purposes of these classic lines then
Jack: Rose! You're so stupid. Why did you do that, huh? You're so stupid, Rose. Why did you do that? Why?
Rose: You jump, I jump, right?

Rose: Jack! This is where we first met

Rose: I'll never let go, Jack. I promise
Beate wrote:Man, the balcony area was full by about 6.15pm! We just about got seats in our favourite row, right next to our favourite seats. There was only one Sky bloke dealing with all printouts, so no problem. We had a bit of a picnic before, with Pret sandwiches, jelly hearts and the popcorn we got free with the Sky voucher.

Screening was lovely and quiet, no phones, everyone behaved. Almost no kids around, thank God. But why the screening had to start 10 minutes late, with 5 minutes of that wasted on adverts is anyone's guess, the film is long enough already. The couple next to us then left about half an hour from the end. You can only imagine. "Love, we only pa*d the babysitter to 11pm." Or "I know how it ends anyway, shall we just go home?" The mind

8.5/10
Beate, how do you get the Sky vouchers you mentioned?

I was annoyed too that at Wimbledon people were leaving the film early. Kept having to get up as people in my row were leaving! Why not wait until the end of the film?! Some people are so impatient these days.

The Sky vouchers are only for the O2, and are listed under "treats" on the Sky Rewards page.

I know but romantic crap aside, if he'd been on his own he'd have got on the door and might have survived.

What I was trying to say though was that I don't think he would've fought as hard for his own life as he did for hers. Had he been by himself he may have never ended up on top of the boat (which in turn means he wouldn't have ended up in that part of the water and he wouldn't have been near the door to begin with).

I was thinking how selfish it was for Rose to be on a lifeboat and then get off. Some people would have given anything for that place! Oh and was I the only one thinking a better thing to do with the diamond, rather than throw it into the sea in a moment of corny sentimentality would have been to sell the diamond at auction and give the money to a life boat charity? I'm sure that's a much better way to honour the memory of Jack and all the victims!
