???!!! Paul Weller - You Do Something To Me ???!!!
the soundtrack had me bopping in my seat!!
Sorry but for me, playing that tune at a wedding is about as original as having Robbie Williams "Angels" at a funeral. I enjoy Weller circa The Style Council years and The Jam but I find his solo material a bit hokey and overplayed.
I was referring more to the sassy gal anthems and the notably shit Crowded House cover.

Because I enjoyed the music, I must be a 'sassy gal' - you've made my day!!!

seen this on the 22nd of jan and enjoyed very much.
great British film and full of laughs.
that been said i dont think its to everyones taste and from the people it isn't you would be more likely to get negative feed back.
worth a watch to anyone then you can decide for yourself.

I thought the film was OK - some genuinely funny bits, but a bit too crude (the writer / director also made Ali G and Borat if that's a clue). Also the characters weren't exactly likeable which never helps.
Soundtrack was good though - disagree with that comment, some interesting cover versions - Snow Patrol doing Prefab Sprout's When Love Breaks Down, plus covers of Coldplay's Sparks and David Gray's Please Forgive Me.

Well, it made the Cardiff audience laugh, sometimes a nervous laugh but everyone seemed to enjoy it. I would give it 8/10 just for making me laugh today

Saw this last night in Wimbledon. Not knowing anything about this film, I was expecting it to be another chick-flick. I was pleasantly surprised. It was a very funny and well-written British comedy in the vein of Love Actually, Notting Hill, Four Weddings etc. Stephen Merchant was cringingly embarrassing as the best man in the wedding scene at the beginning of the film and goes on to steal the show every time he steal the show every time he appears. The impossibly thin Rose Byrne was delightful, Rafe Spall was hapless and reminded me very much of Ben Miller’s role in the TV comedy, The Worst Week of my Life. Lots of laugh-out-loud moments. Would seriously recommend it – 9/10
There was a lot of confusion in the cinema as Wimbledon Odeon was also letting their Premiere Club members cash their points to get tickets, but they were giving out tickets with seat numbers, whereas us SFF regulars know that it is free-seating. So a lot of disgruntled Odeon Premiere Club members were demanding that people give up their seats to them. Read my lips – it's free-seating, first come, first served. Maybe someone could tell the Wimbledon Odeon that as well.

The seating issue at Wimbledon last night was so annoying.
Why do people think they can turn up at the last minute and make people move out of their seats!
I hope this isnt going to be a regular thing?
Loved the film though. Great British comedy. Stephen Merchant was so funny - he always is .

Based on some of the earlier reviews I thought I may give this a miss but I'm so glad I didn't. I really enjoyed it and found it to be a proper British comedy with plenty to keep me amused and entertained. Minnie Driver, Olivia Colman and Stephen Merchant in particular really held their own in their respective small roles.
9/10 from me!

Thank you, Andrews and disneyliz; I didn't have a local enough preview for this and on the basis of earlier posts was thinking I hadn't missed too much, but you've encouraged me to see this film once it's released! And I could certainly do with a laugh, or several...
