Have you had a look at Bliss mag recently? I am so not the target audience.

Neither am I but I'm forever checking magazines that aren't designed for me. I have given up being embarrassed. I can always find someone who will take the mag after I've finished with it. lol

The best one is when I have to ask someone to pass me a gay magazine from the top shelf so I can rifle through it. I get some strange looks I can tell you. Bliss is nothing compared to that ;)

I have read the book now and at first I thought they are quite faithful to it in the film but they have left out a lot of scenes in the second part that either feature Perry’s memories or take place in the Stadium after R goes to find Julie. R also has a wife and 2 children which he acquired after he became a zombie that didn’t make the cut, probably because it’s confusing. The book is generally darker and creepier with a lot of existentialism in it and quite a bit of swearing! Also, General Grigio doesn’t suffer the same fate in film than in book. The movie managed to be much lighter, sweeter and funnier (all the funny lines like R’s inner monologue of “Don’t be creepy” or M’s “Bitches, man” are not in the book). You could say it was dumbed down a little for the teenage target audience but for once I don’t mind that as it made for a rounded little film with likeable characters and an awesome soundtrack.

Maybe I will look out for Bliss mag today. I am intrigued as to how he acquired a wife and children after becoming a Zombie. That appears to contradict the whole film.
