I haven't actually managed to see The Book Thief. Really miss those 6 for 7 screenings with Sky... I know Sun+ have picked up some of the slack, but I haven't been to the super screen in a while! I guess with the Sky branding, it would be a bit weird if someone else started using that screen. Shame, though...

My train stopped across across from a poster of Liam Neeson's latest film today. It looks about as good as Taken 2. Maybe that's why no screenings? I thought the really crap films either didn't have previews or gave away tickets after opening?

Agree it's been really quiet on the film front. I've been plugging the gap with theatre - a lot starts between 7 and 8, which is ideal for me. Not sure what the non-Londoners are supposed to do though...
Preferred cinemas:
Vue West End, Cineworld Haymarket, Odeon West End, Odeon Leicester Square, Empire Leicester Square, Cineworld O2, Cineworld Shaftesbury Avenue and Odeon Panton Street, followed by anywhere in central(ish) London.

Yes there's a lack of free previews, but on the upside I don't have to juggle clashes with theatre and other events any longer and I actually have some free time o/ #positivethinking

Does anyone know if this page does actually mean that virgin are planning to show free films soon ? Or is it an old page that's not changed in months?

Have resorted to using the 2 for 1 Odeon tickets you can get if you are a Times+ subscriber to make up the shortfall. Plus an opportunity to catch up on TV Shows :) Enjoyed Fleming last night.

I have a number of Cineworld vouchers and plenty of nectar points to use at the Vue, so i'm covered for lean periods like this.

In fairness if you look at the schedule of films due to be released up until the end of this month there is not a lot on the horizon. Some of the films have already been previewed. Hopefully March will be better.

getting very disappointed. the only ones I've seen available are for sun+ and the telegraph, and you've gotta p*y for the privilege to see them. I think we've been spoilt, but hope we get some real free screenings soon.

I have not able to get tickets for a preview since just before Christmas. Things are getting bad. I am desperate. I am ashamed to say it. Please do not judge me. But I might have to p*y to go to the cinema this weekend.
