Re: Christmas
And the DLR in their wisdom have decided to shut the whole system down next weekend. Completely. And I had planned to go shopping in Lewisham! Bastards.

Yeah, not so easy when you want to get to Lewisham, you have to board two, they are always oversubscribed and you have to lug your purchases back on it - not fun.

Re: Christmas
Hmm....well the ones I remember are:canadian_turtle wrote:I went last year and don't remember much freebies other than a small can of coke, I think I'm doing something wrong!
sparkling wine & chocs @ evans. Also special tote bag with purchases & DJ music playing
lindt chocs outside selfridges (several girls there handing em out)
starbucks - mini mince pies/mini hot drinks
aquascutum - champers, live band
wedgewood - hot chocolate (good sized) and loads of chocs all over the store
can't remember if it was last yr or previously but heart fm were zipping around giving away sweeties & little prizes all over Ox & Re Streets.
Oooh and several shops had little cards you had to enter your details on to win prizes. I wasn't lucky last year but a couple of years ago bf & I won 2 fabulous hampers from 2 different shops that, quite frankly, we would never even bother going into had it not been for West End VIP day.
Shops may be tighter in this economic climate so if nothing else it's a fun day out and, as I said before, a wee bit of exercise & fresh air.

Re: Christmas
Ah see, I didn't went into the shops, I though you meant stalls in the street, will have to rectify that this year! I also didn't know there was a dedicated Wedgewood shop on Oxford or Regent Street, I love Wedgewood!

Re: Christmas
Yep its down Regents Street. Oh and just remember, loads of shops have nibbles like mince pies laid on. So don't be afraid to go into the shops just to have a look. Ya never know! Plus there'll probably be all kinds of special discounts that you might want to take advantage of.
Oooh Gap kids had loads of innocent smoothies and I remember we got xmas cookies & candy canes from another shop...not sure which one though.
