Re: The Diary Room
I would aruif, I had flu back in August and was completely floored by it, I'm normally a dose myself up and get on with it type of girl, but couldn't get of bed, it took me 3 weeks to actually start feeling well again and then I caught a cold I think where I had got so run down and the bronchitis came back, the cough has finally only just gone!aruif wrote:aww i hope you get well soon!Mesa7719 wrote:Damn chest infection is getting on my nerves..... 2 screenings cancelled so far. Coughing too much, would just annoy the other viewers. Rarrrrrr I will not miss Real Steel next week tho!!!
i'm debating on if i should get myself a flu jab for this year or not. i know you don't have flu but it's reminded me that maybe i should look into it. i managed to miss it last year but that was mainly by staying in and not going near anyone else who had it. don't think i can do that so much this year. maybe i could get a mask and wear gloves all the time, or a bio hazard suit.... hmmmmmmm
Feel better soon Mesa7719!
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!

Re: The Diary Room
I had a nice little visit to Curzon Mayfair to a Warner Brothers screening tonight. There were proper seated tickets and a bar serving champagne and popcorn only. I took my little bottle home
Water on the seats as usual and most unusual, there were clips for Sherlock Holmes and J Edgar before the film started

I've had flu jab twice and I was exactly the same, totally wiped me out. I decided never to have it again.raineylb wrote:

Re: The Diary Room
Is anybody into point&shoot cameras? I am not (me is a DSLR person!) and I have been volunteered to pick up a present for a friend!
I know there is zillion of reviews around but I won't read them all! I would prefer someone's personal recommendation!
I am after a point&shoot, no frill (no need of manual aperture/speed settings), nice video, 4x zoom should do, reasonable fps in shooting mode... for no more than £250!
any suggestions?
(I'll post in IT help as well, even so it's not a IT problem... I know some of you resident geeks don't read Diary Room!)

Just realised my Real Steel tickets were for Monday 10th...... for some reason I was sure they were for the 19th.
Bit dissapointed, but hey ho..... am sure there will be others.

Re: The Diary Room
Ask prettyxcool what camera she uses. She's got a point and shoot camera that's nice and small and takes pretty good pictures too (for a point and shoot!). She aboslutely loves it. I know it's a Canon model.... I've also had Canon point and shoot and they have been pretty good.Celini wrote:Is anybody into point&shoot cameras?
