Are you kidding me....they are doing a large sing-along screening of Mamma mia at the O2 and they are charging £22 a ticket?? plus booking fee as well...
Are they giving everyone free champagne? or will Meryl be singing live? :blink:

Yes someone has posted free tickets for it, but I just can't believe ticketmaster/AEG are charging people £22 for it!!! (if the people don't know where to find the "free" tickets).
Even London film festival tickets don't cost that much (unless it's the opening or closing night!)

Did you go to the Saatchi Gallery viewing last night? I went along and thought it was really really nice. The school children's artwork was of a very high standard and it was nice that they opened up the other galleries too and gave us free prosecco. The whole building's very welcoming too, it's much better than when the Saatchi gallery was at the Southbank and now it's even better it's free.

Haha, actually I don't read it I just get the e-mails and like to pass on the offers, given that I get so much from this website! Happily people use them sometimes, so I shall persist!
Didn't go to the Saatchi Gallery but glad to hear it was worthwhile. Nice that they're promoting kids' work. Free Prosecco is always nice too! Our work is having a sort of art display thing going on which has been hung over the last few days. I've done a couple of double takes walking around! Some really nice pieces but sadly waaaay out of my price range...
I do like to go to the Photographers Gallery near Leicester Square now and again - some really random stuff but really interesting.

Thanks jmd1983, appreciate it. It has been a bit of an emotionally draining day today - she & I both had quite a bit of a blubber at Edinburgh airport. She's at Heathrow now waiting on her connecting flight (she called to update us) and the OH & I are back home having had some comfort food & a bottle of red. Feeling a bit better now but still welling up every now & then. Image Didn't think it would be this hard to let go...
Maybe she'll miss all those free films I took her to & want to come back? :cross: Got to get SKYPE set up soon, I think.
