Cadw, the Welsh Assembly Government's historic environment service, is marking St Davids Day by offering free admission to all its directly managed monuments in Wales on FRIDAY 1st March.
These include the magnificent Bishop's Palace at St Davids, Britain's smallest city; one of the world's greatest medieval castles, Caernarfon Castle; the best preserved medieval abbey in Wales, Tintern Abbey, and dramatic Harlech Castle on its cliff-top location.
