Couldn't agree more. Everything seemed so contrived.

There was also a guy sitting next to us who was constantly laughing out loud for no apparent reason. I found that rather amusing. 4/10

Another great review David! o/ I agree wholeheartedly with everything you said.

Other members were saying they liked this and found it funny and I was thinking to myself 'were we watching the same film?'.

Couldnt have said it better myself, the girl in front of me laughed every 2 minutes but then again she was a Russel Brand fan and neither me nor OH are i thought they could have been a little more adventurous with this film, for me Helen Mirren was the real star of the film!!

Yinster it was great to meet you and what a nice surprise that we had already met before and not known it :D and thanx again for the tickets ;)

Forgot to say 6/10 from me and OH

Went and saw this at a packed Bournemouth Odeon and really enjoyed the film. It had a few funny moments,a tearful moment and overall a good story. Would love to have all that money.

Saw it in Belfast last night, cinema about 75% full, I have to say I wasn't looking forward to it as I simply do not like RB to put it mildly but found myself laughing and actually quite enjoying it.Yea , it was predictable in places but on the whole I enjoyed it.Helen Mirrens character held the film together for me and there were some almost tearful moments toward the end.Overall enjoyable....wont win any Oscars lol but have seen lots worse this year. classic moment when Susan got stuck to underside of the bed.

I am not a fan of Russell Brand but really like Helen Mirren and Jennifer Garner so was willing to give this movie the benefit of the doubt. Surprisingly I really enjoyed it. It was good fun and had some decent drama at times as well. 7.5/10

Thanks. Russell Brand really is so obnoxious, so annoying watching that film!

He says remakes are heavily criticised - critics don't p*y for tickets, so not a good demographics to go for. Don't compare it to the original, like you can't compare West Ham, or Dudley Moore, or Peter Cook. He is proud of it and he thinks it is good film but he says he is bias, but suggests we go and see it, not because it is an important thing in your life! :P
