Saw this last Tuesday with some friends, really enjoyed it. Seems like I can't go to a film without seeing Rafe Spall these days, lol.

I thought it was pretty good! Taking awkward comedy to new levels of cringe worthiness, I Give It A Year will make you squirm in your seat more than a Saw film. I reckon you should give it ninety minutes of your life.

I'm astonished so many people really liked this. Comfortably the worst film I've seen in some time. The 'humour' was predictable and not particularly funny, the lead characters were wooden and completely unlikeable. Even with it being free I feel like I've been cheated.

Being generous, I'd give it 2/10.

Finally caught it on release, in an oddly quiet cinema.
I laughed frequently and with great force, it's bitty, sure, and they let Merchant off a leash that was desperately needed, but the rest of the film was both brilliantly funny and genuinely engaging. It's nothing more than a rom-com, any attempts to skew the genre are limited and still fall into cliche, but it wears the cliches well and makes a nice meal of them. If you're not gonna break the mold, always best to make a good version of it.

I saw this free today, using a voucher, and found it amiable enough viewing for a wet winter weekend and before a serious play. Nowhere near the best of the genre but comfortably above the worst, too.

I thought this was better than i expected. It was quite funny but bit crude. However i didn't like the storyline. Another its a happy ending and it probably happens all the time in real life, i thought it was a sad love story.

i laughed a fair amount but not proper heady laughter and i came out feeling unsure if i had really enjoyed it or not. hmmm i dont think i did really, i certainly dont want to see it again anyway.

the main brit character - see i dont even know his name - he reminded me of one of my friends and that didn't help his cause with me either. his friend - cant remember his name either - in fact cant remember one solitary name!! i cant remember the actors name right now though i do know it - he is starting to realllly get on my nerves i dont wish to see another film with him in it again. ever.

woah bad review!

His name is Rafe Spall
A horse walks into a bar and the bartender asks, "Why the long face?"

A pony walks into the bar and whispers, "I'll have a beer, please." The barkeeper asks, "Why are you whispering?".
"I'm a little hoarse."

Cruder, funnier but ultimately less satisfying than 3 Weddings and a Funeral.

I am going to vote this 9/10 because it did maintain its momentum, just the odd few scenes which felt rather awkward/unfunny. Better editing would have made this a top class comedy, its just short of it. I might be a little biased due to the high fit chick count lol.
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?
