I was so annoyed I moved to front row seats (better view!!! o/ ) and we enjoyed the rest of the show! But I saw one time the same person asked a group of teens and slightly older lady the row in front of my ori seats to sit down too, which end up in argument with the old lady (a better sport than them!!)!!! During intermission I realised the annoying peeps weren't there anymore, may be they moved after arguing with the older lady  If you want to see a show comfortably seating down, shouldn't you be at home watching it on telly?

Have you ever considered that they might have problems standing because of health problems?

Great list for latecomers, however I think number 1 should be switch the phone OFF. Even on silent mode when the phone rings and lights up, it can be incredibly irritating

Hallelujah!

This list should be in neon lights in the foyer of every cinema in the country! Anyone who breaches them is punishable by death (No? A bit harsh..?)

Good list.

I don't know what R-rated is translated to UK cinemas but apart from it being annoying, it's plain not allowed to bring your kids to a movie which is not rated for them, so why don't ushers turn them away at the entrance? Leaving that aside, I wish kids weren't allowed in movies I attend full-stop. Especially animated ones which I can never enjoy in peace. Grrr.

And stop the nervous foot-wiggling if you sit in my line of vision! Or any other fidgeting! Sit still! And don't hum along to the music either! Basically, my ideal cinema watcher is the one who turns into a pillar of salt upon hitting his/her seat. No moving, no eating, no talking, no texting or walking to the loo - no breathing if you can. Occasional laughter is allowed but only if the scene is really funny.

I point blank refuse to move seats when I'm at the free viewings, esp if it's on a Sunday morning.

I like sitting in a certain area, I feel sick if I sit off centre in a 3D film & I don't like being crowded in by people crunching away on Nachos who think my seat belongs to them. Therefore, I arrive early so I can choose my seat.

People who arrive late or 1 min before the film starts & expect me to move can take a running jump!

End of rant.

We listened again to the Ten Commandments of filmgoing whilst sitting on the M1 for 2 1/2 hours on Friday and it brought us a bit of light relief! I am always very still when sitting in front of Beate as I understand completely how she feels. I hope she considers me a pillar of salt!

Children in the cinema can be a real problem but that is down to parents not controlling them and the same goes for restaurants. Some parents seem to feel that is is up to others to look after their kids when in a public place.

That's not far off what it was like at Hemel Hempstead cinema yesterday morning, lots of late comers, later comers insisting my friend and her daughter move up with not a please or thank you in sight, lots of talking, a stand up row (during the film) between a woman and some teenagers who had giggled and messed about since arriving.....mind you that bit was a bit more entertaining than the film to be honest!
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!

There are two kinds of viewer in the world: right and wrong. Which are you?

If you ask me, every screen should have its own projectionist, as well as an usherette, an organist, a conductor, and a sniper trained to blow the heads off anyone who dares open their mouth after the titles start.
