The first half hour flew by, then it dragged a bit and I yawned (or maybe it was past my bedtime, it was so long)... ending picked up again.

I LOVE DENZIL - but 7/10 from me and OH.

It was ok if very badly paced as mentioned above. The flight scenes were terrific and rather terrifying and the cast was decent.

I think the main problem here was the addition of useless storylines/subplots (his family and the very hot AA girl); cutting all this non-sense would have shortened the film by a good 25 minutes and could have made it a really good thriller/suspense film

7/10

Did you get free tickets because they could not show the film?
A horse walks into a bar and the bartender asks, "Why the long face?"

A pony walks into the bar and whispers, "I'll have a beer, please." The barkeeper asks, "Why are you whispering?".
"I'm a little hoarse."

The crash was very good, having been in turbulence like the start of the flight many times on long hauls it was pretty realistic. The story was ok but goodness the last 30 minutes dragged because of the overlong middle section. The relationship between Whip and Nicole never really developed, sort of felt she was with him because he helped her which was a bit skeevy. Denzel was good but he usually is. 6/10

After reading the personal reviews I actually enjoyed this much more than I thought I would. Plane scene was fab, admittedly the recovering addict wasn't necessary but overall an enjoyable evening.
Would have given 7/10 but raised to 7.5 cos I love Denzel ;)

Back from Braehead.

Well that was a bit of a let down after the first 10 or so minutes. Edge of your seats stuff especially sitting so near the front of the screen but then they tried to tell the story of Whip, an arrogant alcoholic who I couldn't side with as he just drank and drank and then drink some more. Yes he was a hero of sort as he saved those lives and it was due to a mechanical fault but he didn't exactly help himself.

And I am pretty sure the wee boy sitting beside teddybear1 was so under 15 as TB was telling us he was covering his eyes in the first scene cos there was woman naked.

Preference of cinemas:- 1. Glasgow Renfield Street Cineworld, 2. Glasgow Showcase, 3. Braehead Odeon, 4. Vue Fort, 5 Glasgow Springfield Quay, 5. any other cinema in Glasgow area including Hamilton
Also Falkirk, Dunfermline and Stirling but these are rarely used for free previews.
