Not Receiving Email Alerts

Not so much not receiving alerts, though that does seem to happen, in which case I try unsubscribing and resubscribing, but does anyone else experience a significant delay in their arrival? For instance, I logged on a few minutes ago and saw that there had been a new code 28 minutes earlier, but I'd had no alert. I never understand how everyone can rush to log on at once when there has been a new code, because how could they all receive the alert so promptly?

Edit: just got the alert - 51 mins later! Is it just me or...

I have experienced all of this! I just put it down to my slow server!

I used to get email alerts but suddenly they stopped so I just usually check the website when I simultaneously check my email to see if there's any new codes. I have a boring life, I'm always going back to FMUK every 5 minutes to see if anyone's posted anything..

You're not the only one! At least now I realise it may be our server, I can probably stop bothering to unsubscribe and resubscribe and yes, it it generally quicker just to check the site.

Try unsubscribing and then subscribing again to the forums you want alerts from. And make sure you mark the forums read after something's been posted.

Yeah I tried all that, thanks...it use to work but it's all of a sudden stopped working

That happened to me as well a week ago i think, but now its all back to normal, even though i haven't done anything
