err i thought this was the worst film i've seen. and terrible use of music in several parts! adele's rolling in the deep didn't work AT ALL in that scene, awful, they should have used an instrumental and cut it properly. There was also another part where the music was too loud and hadn't finished quite enough and wasn't faded when someone went to speak. not impressed i was expecting this to be a fully polished film. pft

the story line was ok, number 6 is annoying somehow. number 4's character was ok though i imagine we know f all about him because there's still too many films to come.

there were some funny bits - not sure if they were supposed to be funny mind you.

i was also sat next to the most inconsiderate couple i've ever had the displeasure to sit next to. 1st they arrived late and made a whole row of people stand up so they could sit at the end next to me - then they proceeded to talk and answered their phone about 4 times. i was pretty pissed off, i don't care if it's a free film, i want to watch it not listen to them prattle on.

all round disappointing evening, film included

5/10

I thought the music was done well.

I felt the storyline could have been better though the special effects were good... some of the music was quite nice, particularily the last song that was played at the very end of the film.

Went to see this with my boyfriend tonight, and we really enjoyed it! I thought it was a good story. Entertaining and light hearted. I wonder if there will be a sequel... good end to a slightly bad start, as we arrived at 6 for a 6.30 start and they'd already started the movie! Some people were already in there watching it, so they stopped it 8 minutes in and rewound it... Is this common? Very confusing, but we thoroughly enjoyed the movie.

for the most part it was!! but certainly in two parts it really didn't work. as for using the adele track, it very much felt like a last minute addition or a desperate attempt to include it somehow. there was even a tv advert with it on which didn't work, thankfully they've dropped it it seems. sorry, i tend to watch films more for their soundtrack and score sometimes, i'm working towards being a music supervisor, i've always been like it, the noticing what does and doesn't work with music

Saw this at Odeon Covent Garden tonight at a pretty packed screening. This was my first time at this cinema and it's much smaller than I thought - only 4 screens! I expected the cinema to be full of teenage girls but was surprised at the number of middle aged men attending. I was rather annoyed by the latecomers who used the light on their mobile phone to find seats which was rather distracting!

I don't have much positive to say about this film except it had a good looking cast and I enjoyed the action sequences. This film is clearly aimed at a very specific audience who likely would enjoy the teenage angst and romance without noticing the gaping plot holes.

The attempts at humour fell flat to my ears. There was no character development - everyone was portrayed as a stereotypical teenager. The villains were cringingly bad - bad lines, bad make up and they looked ridiculous driving a car when they had alien technology. This film was obviously trying to cash in on the lull between Twilight films yet failed to spend enough time developing the romance between the two leads.

I was entertained by the big showdown at the finale but I don't like it when films leave the ending so obviously open in an attempt to generate a sequel.

This film is what I would refer to as mindless nonsense. It is likely to be enjoyed by those who like teenage melodrama and I would recommend it to Twihards. 4/10 from me.

i'd like to disagree with you there, my best friend and i both love the twilight films (we totally accept it got to our inner teenager and is our guilty pleasure and we've come to terms with it haha!) we both thought this was rubbish! if you recomend it to twihards based on the above review you might owe people a lot of ticket money ;)

Was it just me and my partner who thought this seemed like a pilot episode for a TV series? I mean it was ok but on occassions I felt liked I had slipped in to watching some back editons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

I enjoyed it. Wasn't as action packed as the trailers made it out to be. Who else thought everyone looked too old to be in school apart from Sam? If it does well when it comes out in general release then i won't be surprise if there is a follow up, tv series or a sequel
