Respect Jamaica at 02 TONIGHT (Monday)
Mutabaruka with the Lloyd Parks Band Plus The Abyssinians, Jah 9 and Benjamin Zephaniah Mutabaruka is a Jamaican Rastafarian dub poet, known as much for his lively performances as he is for the poems themselves, exploring themes such as sexism, poverty, race, politics and religion.
The Abyssinians are a Jamaican roots reggae trio, famous for their close harmonies and promotion of the Rastafari movement in their lyrics.
Benjamin Zephaniah is an English writer and dub poet, turning poetry readings into concert-like performances. Zephaniah has also released several albums, including the The Wailers’ first recording after the death of Bob Marley.
