Bearing in mind there are only about 2 weeks left till I'd take it down, I can't decide whether to get a tree. Any thoughts?

I say get it! We only just put our tree up and it made us finally feel the Christmas spirit. I don't know about you but without decorations and such, Christmas nowadays is just an excuse to shop. I haven't heard any carols this year or seen a single Nativity scene

Agreed, bonnybon - I haven't felt very Christmassy this year. If I can get it tomorrow, I shall, else I may not bother though....

no cards here, shall wait till I am in the green before I spend on the extras. Kind of reminds me of when we were at college and school and me and my friends agreed not to send each other xmas cards to save on money lol.

Ahh, Xmas tv is great this year, all the Shrek you could hope for, plus a chance to watch all the 2009 films that I missed out on at the cinema (in the days before I joined MSE and fmuk in 2010 ahhhh...).
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?

I am having my own countdown - to the Winter Solstice - only 2 days to go now! I know others are excited about Xmas but I'm so looking forward to the days gradually starting to lengthen again, and (eventually) spring.

My friend is doing the same. She (an aussie) can't handle the cold so she's using it as a countdown to when she'll be nice and warm again!
