BettyBoop wrote:2 weeks back on the wagon now and ive lost 3 and a half pounds so feeling quite optimistic x cos been offthe wagon for so so long......got my holidays in 30 weeks time and my idea was to try and go easy on my self and aim for one pound per week...iam setting intrim targets of 7 pound chunks and going from there so not looking at the big amount i need to lose to become healthy but looking at the little goals id like to hit along the way. so pleased this thread is still going...can see reading through it that people are having good weeks and bad weeks...but so inspirational xx

so goal set I want 7 pounds off...got 3 and a half off so another 3 and a half to go xx

keep up the good work everyone xx

I like your approach BB and thanks for the encouragement, i've not been weighing myself but my aim was to get rid of my muffin top and get to the stage of flinging my chubrub away :D .

I started of the year really well (probably like everyone else) and did a five day detox....well hello flat tum!! Week two was good, substituted sugar for honey and bread for rivita and kept eating lots of veggies, fish and fruit.

This week - temptation; my husband started it by having a birthday to celebrate, forcing me out for lunch at an Italian restaurant - creamy tomatoe pasta with salami, garlic bread and banoffi pie washed down with latte - i was bloated all afternoon!! Then i got pa*d so celebrated with chinese food, finally i gave into my chocolate cravings!!

This weeks plan - Dig out my swiss ball and find a zumba class
to go to. o/

ooo what was your 5day detox?
Id like a flat tum :P i get the slightest little rounded bit at the bottom of it which is annoying!

I think youve started off brillaint, everyones entitled to a lapse here and there, as long as the long term goal is still in sight! :)
TO go with your swiss ball too, try those new weird elastic band things :) my old gym has classes with them, i think its like yoga and resistance training :)

http://www.bettyconfidential.com/ar/ld/ ... -diet.html. you have a three or five day option, the only thing i didn't like was the grapefruit. I got terrible headaches on day 4 so maybe three days is healthier.

Yes i'll bounce into zumba on my ball :P . will check out this elastic band therapy, do enjoy yoga but the resistance training?? Never heard of that!!

Well done everyone, I'm mega impressed with your healthy eating programmes and Bettyboop your weight loss is perfect, where are you going on your holidays?
I'm ashamed to say that I've done nothing this year and failed miserably (had fun doing it) in staying in more so I've time to exercise just been out 6 nights on the run hence most of today will be spent doing housework and going through coursework hence my body won't move a lot today
I'm off to Paris 2 weeks today so need to get my head in gear as I will feel chunky next to the stylish Parisian ladies.
Hope you soon feel better MrGlass and will wear more clothes when running so you don't get a chill
Ms Thrifty hope you enjoyed your Maltesers; I love pouring them into a glass of skimmed milk and sort of eating/drinking them (obviously only on my treat day)!

Bettyboop, Zumba looks fab. It must be hard work with full time work, children and Uni so all credit to you for embarking on your healthy programme; I work 45 hours a week, have older children and just do 5 hours studying a week so its a lot easier to fit things in. I have some mature students out with me at the moment and they are clocking up about 70 hours a week with work and Uni hence have no time for a life as such.

Am off to france with the kids in the six weeks so so looking forward to us all spending time together without the interuption of work/school & uni! I've not had much luck with my weight since i started this thread up and down,,,some successes and some epic fails! I started the contriceptive injection 6 months ago and have gained almost 2 stone in that time...not getting it topped up in an attempt to get my weightloss back on track! (fingers crossed)
I aslo havent moved much this weekend..coursework and housework just like you! :|
Dying for some maltessers now!! lol
Hope you enjoy paris xx we went for new years eve a few years ago and it was such a lovely city ....top tip get a travel pass...its so much cheaper and easier to get about x :D
