The Dark Knight Rises
With the third instalment in Christopher Nolan's vision of Batman just over a year away, the marketing campaign is now in full swing with today marking the release of the first teaser poster for 'The Dark Knight Rises'.
A link to the poster at the official website can be found here: http://www.thedarkknightrises.com/
and IMDB have the portrait version of the same, here: http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3033775872/tt1345836
Early indications from this image suggest that there are going to be some large scale and truly impressive destruction scenes, reminiscent of Inception.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Apparantly a teaser trailer will be attached to the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2!
I will be seeing it again on Friday, so hopefully I'll get to see the teaser then. I reckon it will appear on the net very soon after though.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
This was being filmed recently at Osterley House (near to Isleworth/Hounslow in west London). My husband goes running early some mornings and goes into the grounds through a shortcut over a field and had an argument with a man who stopped him from going any further because the whole area was closed off (my husband regards it as his own personal fiefdom since it's National Trust land and he's been running there for years). A few days later one of my sons said it was a location for the new Dark Knight film as we drove past its heavily fortified front entrance.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
It is understood that Osterley Park was indeed scouted by Christopher Nolan and his team for filming scenes from 'The Dark Knight Rises'.
A number of the rooms were subsequently closed for indoor shoots which would double for the interior of Wayne Manor. The external shots will be of Wollaton Hall in Nottingham, which though not the same building used as Wayne Manor in Batman Begins, looks similar.
For anybody else that walks past any filming in the UK and wonders if they have walked onto the set of 'The Dark Knight Rises' they should check for the working title of the movie, which is 'Magnus Rex'.
One eagle-eyed FMUKer recently spotted equipment and catering trucks with the working title in Lincoln's Inn in Central London (although she told me this is often used as a central location and base for crew, whereas shoots can be anywhere in London from there).

Apparently there is a teaser trailer for this before Harry Potter.

I saw harry potter last again last night but there was no teaser trailer
not watching any bootleg one. I rather see it properly for first time. I think its the American audience were getting it, not us.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Whether intentional or not Christopher Nolan has done it again, by creating a huge 'buzz' around not just one of his forthcoming films but this time it's teaser trailer.
Reports started early last week that both the first teaser poster and more importantly, the first teaser trailer for 'The Dark Knight Rises' would premiere this week. And at the beginning of the week, we were not disappointed with the official release of the teaser poster ... but 'where was the teaser trailer' people asked.
Well rumor was rife that it was going to be shown prior to screenings of the last Harry Potter movie which opened in the UK yesterday. Typically this would have meant that the official film website (or at least a well known review site) would have posted a HD version on-line at the same time. However, nearly 24 hours later and there's still no official release.
The interesting thing though is how much press there has been surrounding something as 'relatively minor' as a teaser trailer. With a grainy, leaked version of the trailer circulating the web, film review sites were in a frenzy writing up descriptions of what was shown in order to sate the appetities of fanboys everywhere. The incredible thing was just how many articles were written too by everyone from film bloggers to reporters and journalists.
Then there was the conspiracy theorists who claimed the leaked trailer was a 'fraud' and others disappointed to learn the trailer was not attached to their screening of Harry Potter. It would now appear from more respectable sources such as the Guardian and CNN that the trailer is real and if you go to watch a tale of a certain boy wizard this weekend you may just catch a glimpse of the same.
However, everyone else will just have to wait with bated breath until someting official appears on line. That said, and irrespective of whether you're a film fan, there's no denying though that you are likely to now know that 'The Dark Knight Rises' is opening next year.
Yet again, whether intentional or not, Christopher Nolan has managed to spread his word to the masses ... Pure Genius.
