This had the 'something' I felt '12 Years A Slave' lacked, which was quite simply characters that I could really connect/empathise with.
I thought that Matthew McConaughey's performance in this was simply
superb, it's possibly the best that's he's produced to date and therefore, for me at least, more than deserves the recognition it's been getting awards wise.
Jared Leto surprised me by being very decent in this and I really enjoyed (in a heartbreaking kind of way) how the relationship between his & McConaughey's characters developed.
Overall I have to say that I really,
really loved this movie consequently it gets a comfortable & well deserved 9/10 from me
