I thought this was excellent, one of the best films I've seen this year.

One of the best ways for me to judge a film is how often I look at my watch and I didn't look at it at all during this film. Excellent performances and some really emotional moments. I think I'll see this film again when it comes out, I missed the first few minutes as Cineworld started the film earlier than the 6:30 advertised start time.

9/10 for me.

Was no one else to see this yesterday? I admit I am looking forward to it, especially as newdot hated it which is usually an indicator for me liking it.

It'll probably cheer you up to know that I thought it was pretty bad too.

Just keeps going... and going... and going... I wanted to shout out "end the film already!".

Admittedly I did think this dragged a hell of a lot, and there was a lot of tug of war between facts that we didnt really have to know, the whole high school love/divorce stuff really could have been cut down to a minimum, and instead purely focusing on the case and the family relations.

That being said, I did find it interesting, I liked the humour in places and thought this was a good drift away from the usual stuff RDJ does.
Unfrotunately, there are a number of films that have done this kind of thing, and have done it noticeably better but it does have its highlights.

I love Robert Downey Junior and this film was no exception. I saw some poor reviews before I went to see it but I really enjoyed it. I'm glad I went. It was quite long but I've noticed most films seem to be longer now

Thought more would have seen this by now.
I actually enjoyed it and didn't notice the time. I was surprised when I looked at the time on the way out and saw that 2 1/4 hours had gone by.
I'm glad that the outcome wasn't the clichéd obvious one, but I was less satisfied with the final scene and hoped for closure.
Some nice scenes of Middle America. Far too much puke though. Lol. Bleuch!
I'm not seeing oscars here though, but definitely better than a mid afternoon channel 5 daytime movie.

I thought this was pretty darn good, the view from that diner was amazing! Robert Duvall was brilliant as was Robert Downey Junior. Nice to see a calm Billy Bob too 8/10 o/

Can't help but think of Billy Bob in Fargo whenever I see him now. Half expected him to whip out a machine gun or a chainsaw in the court room. Lol.
