Cineworld

We are excited to announce that we are planning to re-open Cineworld Cinemas across England on 10th July 2020. The opening date is subject to final clarifications and confirmation in regards to UK government restrictions, with dates to follow for our cinemas in Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

We know how much you’ve been missing the cinema and we are thrilled to be back! With great films ahead, including Mulan, Tenet, A Quiet Place Part II, No Time To Die and many more, we can’t wait to welcome you back to Cineworld.

Thanks for this! Strange that they all say 10th July - I was under the impression that the third phase begins on 4th July - that's definitely when my hairdresser opens! (Yes, I've made an appointment, it'll have been 22 weeks by then!)

I believe there will be less than a dozen ODEONs opening on the 4th, with the rest afterwards.

tickets are available to book at some, one of my local odeons (Kingston) does..but the choice of films is curious, no "new" releases.
However the tickets are about 2/3 or half price! I hope they keep that up.
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?

Same in my local Odeon (Trafford Centre) all old films, only difference, is they are the same price as new releases so the price reduction must be different for each cinema. Nothing so far to tempt me back to any cinema, just checked my other locals chains and nothing even listed yet.

Hopefully this year we will get more free Manchester screenings :cross: as they are rare as hen's teeth nowadays :tears:
Hoping to beat my 2023 total of 31 :cross:

Won't be any massive new releases until over a month later, on August 12.

Just heard on radio 1 news. This is being pushed back to 31st july due to lack of new films.

Did Cineworld have tickets on sale?

ODEON looks to be sticking to their dates, but I wouldn't be surprised if a fraction of their cinemas re-close to keep down running costs until August.
