I've been absent from fmuk for too long but had to leave a post once I saw the shocking news. Hope everyone's doing OK. My thoughts are with everyone.

How awful! Since covid I have definitely spent less time on here but I have wonderful memories of steve9872 and his great tricks of technology. May he rest in peace.

Oh I am so sorry to hear this news. Steve9872 was always so helpful when I couldn't manage to book something -- took lots of time helping me out and I was very happy to meet him at one of our annual FMUK gatherings to thank him in person. Thanks to Sparrow for passing on this news and if anyone is in touch with his relations, please tell him how much we valued him on FMUK.

Very sad news. As others have said he worked wonders on here and was always so helpful when you were struggling to book tickets and it was nice to finally meet him at our annual FMUK gatherings. Condolences to his friends and family.

I am so sorry to hear the sad news. Like others have said Steve9872 was very helpful to me and many others. He even brought a disc to fix my computer to one of our FMUK meetings. I fondly remember him also bringing his telescope to one such meetings and us all gazing up at the stars in a very dark/cold field. Thanks to thesparrow and Diane for passing on this sad news. Condolences to his family.

Oh no 😥 I have not been on FMUK for a good couple of years, and just decided to look over some recent posts and saw The Sparrow's post. So, so sorry to hear about Steve's passing. I am very sadden by this heartbreaking news and totally in shock by it. Steve has always been such a good friend to me and always so helpful with anything I asked him about. I shall miss him dearly. My deepest condolences to his family and everyone who knows him. RIP Steve9872
