Re: Cinema Deals
5 Odeon tickets for £20 or 2 for £10.
ODEON: Two or Five Cinema Tickets, Available in 100+ Locations Nationwide
£20 for five Odeon cinema tickets*Or two for £10. Via daily deals site. Norm up to £17 each
2D screenings
You can get five Odeon cinema ticket vouchers for £20, or two for £10, online at daily deals site Groupon*. Better still, you don't have to use all the vouchers in one go and they can be used by different people – so ideal for families or a group of mates.
The tickets are valid for 2D screenings only from Mon 26 Feb until Wed 25 Apr. Groupon says there is an unlimited number of tickets available, and the deal will run until Fri 20 Apr, though it could pull the deal early if it becomes too popular, as it did with a similar offer in the past.
The vouchers won't work for online, app or ticket machine bookings – only when getting tickets from the box office, so you may need to arrive at the cinema early in case a showing sells out.
Exclusions, including when you can't see some blockbuster films
You can use a voucher at all Odeon cinemas, except Leicester Square, The Lounge at Whiteleys and BFI IMAX and it doesn't include 3D or IMAX showings. You can't use it on screenings of Black Panther until 1 Mar, Peter Rabbit or Tomb Raider until 22 Mar, Pacific Rim until 5 Apr, Ready Player One until 6 Apr, Blockers until 12 Apr, and Rampage until 19 Apr. See 'More info' below for full exclusions.
How to redeem your voucher
Once you've b*ght either two or five cinema tickets from Groupon, you'll then receive an email with the corresponding number of vouchers – one for each ticket – and each one will have a unique 'Groupon code' on it. You can also find your vouchers in your online Groupon account or in its app. Either print or show the Groupon code on your smartphone at the box office. Each code can only be used once.
Before you b*y, is it worth it?
A full-price adult ticket for a 2D film at Odeon can cost £3-£17ish depending on location. As this offer gets tickets for £4-£5, it's only worth getting if you usually p*y more. For example, at London's Tottenham Court Road Odeon, you could save around £12 for an adult ticket as they're up to £16.50 each, whereas in Dorchester, the price is only £3.75 for some showings.
Before b*ying, check prices at your local cinema as some independent chains may be cheaper.
Unfortunately, the vouchers aren't valid with the Meerkat Movies deal, which gets you 2for1 cinema tickets on Tuesdays and Wednesdays – see our Deals Hunter blog Meerkat Movies trick: £1ish gets 2for1 movies for a year. If your local Odeon sells tickets for less than £8, you may be able to get a cheaper deal with Meerkat Movies on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Re: Cinema Deals
Until Sat 10 Mar, if you b*y a full-price cinema ticket at the Odeon box office – not online, through its app or a ticket machine – you'll be given a voucher for 40% off the price of your next ticket, when you visit on a different day. But the discount could be beaten by using our Meerkat Movies trick instead (see below).
You'll be able to use the 40% off voucher on 2D, 3D IMAX, iSense, Odeon Luxe, The Gallery and Premier Seating tickets until Thu 15 Mar. It's valid on adult, child, teen, family, student and senior tickets – but not in conjunction with other promotions such as Meerkat Movies, Bargain Mondays, Tesco Clubcard, newspaper promotions or Groupon vouchers.
Any other exclusions?
The 40% off voucher can't be used for online or app bookings, and can't be used for screenings of Black Panther between Tue 13 Feb and Fri 23 Feb.
It’s valid at all Odeon cinemas, except the BFI IMAX and The Lounge at Whiteleys.
How good is this?
A full-price adult ticket for a 2D film at Odeon can cost up to £13ish depending on the location, so the 40% off code could reduce each standard ticket price by up to £5ish. But as you've got to b*y a full-price ticket to get the 40% off voucher for your second visit, then if you’re going on a Tuesday or Wednesday, you're better off using our Meerkat Movies trick.
This deal could benefit you though, if you want to go on a day other than Tuesday or Wednesday, or are planning to see a film on your own.
